Down in the Heart of Texas!

Oooh Red Cabin sounds awesome. I think when Ben used it I went to look at the site and there I am again.

I can send you a sample Tim, and also I looked up the scent notes and it does have Patchouli in it and I think that is where some of the incense smell is coming from.

Cool, thanks Pat! I’ll take you up on that. I checked the website and that sample shows sold out.

I just ordered Morning Hike. Citrus and lavender!!!

That one looked nice, but I didn't know of it would be similar to Lonestar by Noble Otter. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on it!

Nooooo!!!!! Not another one to try!!
It is well worth it!

If you wouldn't mind shooting me a PM for your address. I should get it out tomorrow because I also need to drop Mark's Baker Street sample in the mail now that the sample jars finally came in.

Good review Pat! Sounds like a blind buy win! Incense is a winner scent for me too...just can’t have it too strong or it gives me headaches after a while.

I absolutely love the smell. It used to stir up my asthma, but after being so close to it for so long it started to go away.

I won't go into the soap performance since it is the same as Aegyptus, but I do want to talk about the scent. I have never smelled Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille so I cannot comment on how alike they are. However, this is a Christmas/Winter scent like Stirling Christmas Eve. All I could think about is making gingerbread men at my grandparents house. Obviously the ginger and vanilla are a big part of that, but there is also that hint of tobacco in the background. My grandmother smoked, but always away from us. So when we would make gingerbread men the smell of the cookies filled the house, but there was this subtle tobacco smell that lingered in the background.
I read up on Tonka Bean and the scent it gives off is a spicy vanilla smell. Yesterday I got pure spice with Aegyptus, but today was more vanilla (probably due to the vanilla already in the soap). There is a bit of spice in the background but I am not sure if that is the tobacco flower, clove, or ginger. It does have clove, but it is not very noticeable. This is a great scent and great soap. I am really excited about this company.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all have a great day!

Great scent description and shared memories today! TF Tobacco Vanille was just OK for me; super sweet, almost sickeningly so, for a very long part of its dry down, but pleasant after a number of hours.

Aftershaves, talc, soaps, brushes, pipes, tobacco’s. An endless amount of “Oh that sounds good” moments. Every post a potential rabbit hole. Quicksand for your disposable income. You guys are enabling X-men. I love you guys.
No mention of fountain pens. Have you gone through that thread yet? :ROFLMAO: We love you too, Fluffy.

Dang you Pat! I just spent the last 15 minutes looking at soaps from yet another place. Just great. I don't need this kind of temptation. :poop:

It is well worth it and I like the strength of scent for the soaps and aftershaves. I am really looking forward to the release of the scent Pages. That one sounds really good.
