Another great shave this morning. I ddidn't have any irritation this morning so I went with the 4 pass shave again. Yes @Dave in KY 4 passes...I know I know it is still not the Vector
I feel like I am tempting fate with this razor so starting tomorrow I am going to go back to retraining my facial hair like @BarberDave recommended.
Went with Stirling Barbershop today. I love Stirling products and this is one of my favorite scents from them. The only thing I wish I did differently is that I got the splash instead of the balm because I feel like the splash projects the scent better.

Of course you @Dave in KY have been lucky enough to experience a "Shogun Edge"( TM)
Others just have to make do with whatever Carl at the blade factory gives them. Thus extra passes.

Honestly the 4th pass is just my OCD. If I do an XTG from left to right then I have to go one right to left. I usually don't do an ATG pass because I get irritation and ingrown hairs, but so far two days in a row and I am clear from any of that.

@Dave in KY Okay let me clarify my earlier post. 1 of the 4 passes is my OCD. Pre-OREN shaves I would always do WTG 1st, XTG left to right 2nd, and XTG right to left 3rd (OCD pass). Because the OREN shave was so smooth I wanted to try the ATG pass so that was 4th.
@NurseDave we won't get into that... she just had a baby so I'll be more understanding.

Results:

Great shave today. I picked out 4 different soaps that I wanted to use and had my wife pick her favorite so she picked The Soloist. Whipped up a great lather and the OREN did the rest. DFS+ because no ATG shave today since I wanted to let my face heal up a bit. Still no feedback from the alum which has been nice.

Homefront:

Talked with the pastor at our church and he had a lot of questions as far as wet shaving goes so I gave him a quick rundown of it and told him I would put a kit together for him. I told him that the best resource would be The Cadre so we may have another member join up soon.
My wife is doing good and we are celebrating her first Mother's Day today which has been fun. We couldn't go out to eat, but luckily it is great grilling weather.
