The reason I ended up getting the OREN is because it was listed at 40% of the current sale price. It came with all 3 heads, the blade insterter, and backup screws so I thought why not. I have read all the wonderful things said about the Vector, and I have been tempted to pull the trigger on it, but I wanted to see if I would even like SE's first. So far they are pretty nice!

Pre-shave: Hot Shower & Jack Black's Face Buff
Razor: Occam OREN 2 dot plate
Blade: Feather ProGuard (2)
Brush: AP Shave Co. Ruby SynBad
Bowl: PAA Scuttle
Soap: Mystic Water- Leather and Smoke
Aftershave: Osma Alum & Stirling Tea Tree, Witch Hazel, Aloe splash & Maggard- Tobacco and Leather splash
Moisturizer: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Another great shave with the OREN. Today I wanted to test it out a little bit because I noticed that this morning I had more stubble than usual. So I decided to do a 4 pass shave today. WTG, XTGLR, XTGRL, and ATG. Usually I do not do an ATG pass because of the irritation, but yesterday this razor did not give me the slightest irritation. Also I buffed the chin a little but and man oh man is my face smooth. Now time will tell if this was a good idea or not, but I wanted to test this razor. I used the alum and I think there was a sting on the chin, but it was very slight.
Another great shave and I am really liking this razor more and more each time I use it.

Now this is the first SE I have shaved with, but I will say this razor is pretty darn amazing. The shave is almost effortless. I won't compare it to a straight because that requires a different technique and level of concentration. However, compared to the Fatboy and 6C, this is a more effortless shave and produces some incredible results. I've never tried the Vector, so I can't compare, but it is hard to imagine a razor that is WAY better than this one.
