Pre-shave: Hot Shower & Jack Black's Face Buff
Razor: 1961 G2 Gillette Fatboy
Blade: Personna (4)
Brush: Eric's AoG PIF #5
Bowl: PAA Scuttle
Soap: Stirling- Sharp Dressed Man
Aftershave: Osma Alum & Stirling Tea Tree, Witch Hazel, Aloe splash & Stirling- Sharp Dressed Man balm
Moisturizer: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Results:

My make-up "S" day was today and for that I used Sharp Dressed Man by Stirling. I believe this is their version of Green Irish Tweed, but I am not positive. Really enjoy the scent and I would have to give this a score of 21/25. Really great performance and a steal at the price. The balm is nice and is a break from the alcohol, but my only problem is that tree scent doesn't last long.
Fatboy on setting 4 was probably the moody enjoyable shave with the least irritation. I made sure to be really light in the pressure and I am satisfied with a DFS+.

Homefront:

Little man and momma are doing great. I went back to work this week and I gotta say it was pretty tough. Luckily my in-laws are available for help.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Tuesday!

I’m going to have to break down and get a Fatboy someday.

I have really enjoyed using it. I definitely want to get it replayed, but for now I feel like it is functioning perfectly. Took me a couple weeks to get to know it, but so far my last 7 or 8 shaves have been irritation free and my last two shaves were free from alum sting.

Pre-shave: Hot Shower & Jack Black's Face Buff
Razor: 1961 G2 Gillette Fatboy
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Eric's AoG PIF #5
Bowl: PAA Scuttle
Soap: Noble Otter- Two Kings
Aftershave: Osma Alum & Thayers Concoction & NO Two Kings splash
Moisturizer: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Results:

I have finished my make-up days so now I am just revisiting letters that I had multiple soaps for. Today I revisited "T" so Two Kings got the nod. I have really started to enjoy this soap more since I got it, but still unsure if I will purchase this scent again. I will definitely buy from Noble Otter again because I really enjoy the performance of this soap base.
I think I am starting to really get comfortable with this razor. Two days in a row with no alum sting and a close comfortable shave. Friday I have a special razor coming to me so I am pretty psyched about that!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all have had a great week so far!

Glad to hear your family is well, Jeff Pat. Leaving your wife and son must be tough, but have fun showing everyone the pictures. And congratulations, again. It's a life-changer in an incredible way.

Thank you! It has definitely been tough, but I get to see him for a little bit before I go to bed. Everyone at work has been asking about him and it has been fun showing him off

Just popping to to catch up a bit while I procrastinate at work. I'm glad the little guy and momma are doing well.

Of all the stuff I have piled on my den, I don't know how I don't have a Fatboy. Keep with it, practice makes better, and I've heard they are fantastic shavers.

nice Reads
Thank you!

Thanks Ben! So far I am really enjoying it. Took a little while to figure it out, but now that I have it has been a pleasure to shave with. I'm probably going to get it re-plated now that I know I enjoy shaving with it.

Pre-shave: Hot Shower & Jack Black's Face Buff
Razor: Dbl Duck 11/16
Blade:
Brush:
Eric's AoG PIF #5
Bowl: PAA Scuttle
Soap: Ethos Grooming Essentials- Succès
Aftershave: Osma Alum & Stirling Tea Tree, Witch Hazel, Aloe splash & Ethos Skin Food- Succès
Moisturizer: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Results:

My Dbl Duck straight razor came in today and I have been looking forward to this all week. I have enjoyed using my DE's, but I have really missed my straights. The only downside is I am really rusty. I didn't draw blood until pass 3, but when I did finally draw blood it was a lot. 5 weepers all around my chin and if I were blind then I would have definitely known they were there once the alum was used. Oh well I know it was just technique which can be fixed.
Succès got the nod today because I am free from the ABC's of shaving and wanted to re-visit it. Love the scent and soap base. For me this is the best soap base I have used. WK, B&M Excelsior, CBL, Zingari Man, and A&E are up there, but I just feel Frank's base is a little bit better. Dragonsbeard is still my favorite scent and I can't wait until it is in Frank's base. I am also really excited about the CBL/ETHOS collaboration!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Friday!

nice read and blood is a part I touched down twice today. Ducks are great and with a coticule edge then are buttah

My first two passes were really smooth, but my last pass I know I rushed. Once I started to rush I know my technique went to crap. I also did not wet my face before my third pass and I know that contributed to it. Thanks for reading Dave and I will probably be watching your tutorials for a refresher this weekend!
