Down in the Heart of Texas!

Nice shave Pat. I’m happy that you like the brush. I ended up giving my tub of xXx away for the same reasons. Loved the scent but it dried my face out big time.

Yeah I have tried it a couple times and I am ready to give it away. Thank you again for the brush. I will be using it for the rest of the month!

For "Y" I went with my only other MYstic Water soap. I really like the scent of this soap, but I definitely need to figure out how to build the lather of this soap. However I am pretty proud of myself for sticking with the April Shave theme and I have really enjoyed doing it.
I decided to change up the blade because I felt a lot of tugging yesterday. No tugging today, but I got a lot of feedback from the alum. I think tomorrow I will do my full shave on setting 2. I wish I didn't have sensitive skin and could actually chase BBS. Unfortunately I am not a person that can shave 8 times in a 24 hour period.
The brush is awesome, and I could not be happier with it. I am super excited to try it out tomorrow with my soap for "Z" day! I need to think of another brush to get from Eric!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all are having a great weekend!

Great shave and set up, Pat. Mystic Waters does take have a learning curve to get the lather right, but it's just amazing once you get it down. I love the look of the Timberwolf, and will be putting one in the next brush that I make for myself. Which will probably be a resin brush if all goes will with my new venture.

Good stuff. I’ll be using my first Mystic Water soap tomorrow.

Thanks for reading guys and I hope y'all have a great Sunday!

Yes @NurseDave another Zingari Man soap... 😜

Much better shave on setting 2 today. I did not feel any rawness during the shave, but I did get a little feedback from the alum. Need to be more mindful of the amount if pressure I put on the razor.
I bought this soap because of the ABC theme, but I originally wanted Blacksmith. I could not find it and I remembered @Dave in KY and @Maryland998 really liking the scent of this soap so I decided to give it a shot. Boy am I happy I did. Scent is absolutely wonderful and I could not be happier. Performance is really good. Nice slickness, residual slickness, and cushion. This was a great blind buy.
The balm is really nice, but it shoots out of the pump. So I suggest holding it back a ways from your hand. I managed to shoot some in my eye...
Brush is doing really great. This was a softer soap and I think the softer bristles really worked well with this soap.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all have a great Sunday!

Hey Pat.
Glad that Dave and I didn't steer you wrong. Well I just ride shotgun with him on soap anyway.
BTW you never got me a list of the soaps I have that you would like to give a go.
Let me know.

Getting enough sleep pops?

Short answer is yes. I am getting about the same amount of sleep I got my last year of school. I was working days at Bass Pro, going to school, and then working nights at Home Depot. So I can survive, but I am not nearly as rested as I would like. But it's okay. Me and the little man go put on a pot of coffee and then we watch the SOTD videos I missed the previous day while momma gets a little more sleep. I can't get enough of it though. It is going to suck to go back to work tomorrow.

Because of the hospital I was not able to participate for "R" or "S" day so today for my "R" shave I went with Roasted Oatmeal Stout. This is probably my favorite from CBL. I love the scent and it takes very little effort to get a really good lather. Cushion is great and slickness is up there with some of the best. Just from my own evaluating system this soap scores a 23/25 which for me it is good enough for me to always have this soap in my den. I went with the Dragonsbeard Skin Food because of the forward vanilla scent and I feel like it pairs very well. Setting two on the Fatboy with the Personna blade gave me an irritation free shave, but not super close. Still need to experiment with settings and blades. All in all it was a very enjoyable shave!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all have a good Monday!
