This is not a late shave today, I am working nights this week. However, when I woke up I hot a notification that I recieved the Gillette Fatboy I ordered from
@Techichi. This arrived a lot sooner than I thought it would and also looks really good for being nearly 60 years old! I looked up the old instruction pamphlet and saw that settings 1-3 are for a light shave, settings 4-6 are for a close shave, and settings 7-9 are for extremely close shaves. I have been using the #2 baseplate on the 6C for these everyday shaves so I decided to use the Fatboy on setting 4. I got a great shave with it, but I felt it was more mild than my 6C so I may try setting 6 tomorrow. I love the weight of the Fatboy and could not be happier with my purchase!
For "M" day I decided to go with Trinity by Murphy & McNeil. I love the scent of this soap and I really enjoy the performance of this soap. I know a lot of people prefer the Kodiak base from M&M, but the Aon base is pretty great too. Slickness, cushion, and residual slickness are pretty near the top of the soaps in my den.
The Astra SP is still going strong and I am really liking this blade. Two more shaves and then I will move on to either Voskhod or Gillette 7 o'clock green.
Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a good Monday! Stay safe out there!
