Nice shave and read, Pat. Astra SP’s were my first 100 pack, and are still a staple in my den.
Thank you! Definitely going to have to keep a lack or two on hand from now on. So far these, Gillette Silver Blue's, and Personna's are my favorites. I still need to try out Voskhod, Gillette 7 o'clock Green, and Wizamet blades. Thanks for reading!

Great Shave! And I was planning on pulling out the King of Oud also!
Thank you for reading! King of Oud was a great shave for scent and performance. Definitely going to be a future purchase.

For my "L" day shave I decided to go with LNHC: Barber Shoppe. It was one of the soap and aftershave sets in the 2nd Anniversary Box. To me the scent is similar to GTB, but not exactly alike. Once lathered you do get that darker take on the barbershop scent that I do enjoy. B&M Seville and Stirling Barbershop are great and I think they would be my go to barbershop scents in the spring/summer, but GTB and LNHC Barber Shoppe are great fall/winter takes.
This was my first time using a @LNHC soap and everything I had heard about her soaps are true! This soap was very slick and had a really great cushion. My 6C glided across my face with absolutely no issues. The residual slickness is up there with some of the best soaps and I could not be happier with this soap. I was able to do a 4 pass shave for the second day in a row and I do believe that is a testament to the soaps I have a used. I also think that using my 6C exclusively during April has allowed me to develop better technique and I am not so rough on my passes anymore. I am not quite BBS, so we'll go with DFS++ and a tally in the win column!
Another first time use for me was the post-shave Elixer. This stuff is awesome and had my face feeling smooth and refreshed before I even applied my moisturizer. The best part is that it smells exactly like the soap and dried very quickly!
This was a fantastic shave and I will definitely be browsing the LNHC catalog for some other scents to purchase in the future!

Thank y'all for reading, and stay safe out there! Happy Easter and have a great Sunday!

This is not a late shave today, I am working nights this week. However, when I woke up I hot a notification that I recieved the Gillette Fatboy I ordered from @Techichi. This arrived a lot sooner than I thought it would and also looks really good for being nearly 60 years old! I looked up the old instruction pamphlet and saw that settings 1-3 are for a light shave, settings 4-6 are for a close shave, and settings 7-9 are for extremely close shaves. I have been using the #2 baseplate on the 6C for these everyday shaves so I decided to use the Fatboy on setting 4. I got a great shave with it, but I felt it was more mild than my 6C so I may try setting 6 tomorrow. I love the weight of the Fatboy and could not be happier with my purchase!
For "M" day I decided to go with Trinity by Murphy & McNeil. I love the scent of this soap and I really enjoy the performance of this soap. I know a lot of people prefer the Kodiak base from M&M, but the Aon base is pretty great too. Slickness, cushion, and residual slickness are pretty near the top of the soaps in my den.
The Astra SP is still going strong and I am really liking this blade. Two more shaves and then I will move on to either Voskhod or Gillette 7 o'clock green.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a good Monday! Stay safe out there!

Congratulations on your new razor! May it bring you nothing but satisfaction.

Razor: 1961 G2 Gillette Fatboy
Blade: Astra SP (4)
Brush: AP Shave Co. Ruby SynBad
Bowl: PAA Scuttle
Soap: CBL Premium: Norse Spice
Aftershave: Osma Alum & Stirling Witch Hazel, Tea Tree, and Aloe Splash & Old Spice splash
Moisturizer: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Great shave today. I'm a bit late at writing the journal though because I was running late to work. For today I went with Norse Spice for "N" day. I really enjoy the scent of this soap and the performance is really awesome. Also this soap did not take very much to lather at all today which was a nice time saver. Old Spice pairs really well with it and I always forget how great this stuff is. I need to get some glass bottles to move some of my aftershaves to.
Second day with the Fatboy was good. I used it on setting 6 which I could definitely tell a difference on pass 2. Dropped it to setting 2 for my third pass and I came away with a DFS. This razor is going to take a bit of experimenting with, but I am pretty excited about that. Depending on how I feel tomorrow I may drop it to 5 for the whole shave or start on 6 again and drop it for each pass.

Thanks for reading Cadre and I hope y'all have had a great week so far!

Fatboy for the win. Maybe get you a vintage Old spice bottle to put your juice in. Just a thought.
Fluffy

That is what I was thinking of doing because I was also looking to get a vintage Skin Bracer bottle and I wanted to look at some Avon aftershaves. However, until I get my shave den back, if I add anything else shave related to my wife's bathroom I may meet my maker before I meet my son. But with the stimulus check I am eyeing a few vintage straights...

Thanks for reading Ken!
