Really good shave this evening. I had to chase the baby a bit but ended up BBS in the end. This will be the last use on this Sputnik, it’s just not cutting it anymore... I’ll be buying a few tucks of these to add to the dopp kit full of however many 100’s of blades I somehow accumulated. The Lupo is making it hard to use the other razors in the den. It’s a great balance of smoothness and efficiency and I find it hard to over shave with. I’m not sure if the 2nd Anniversary Brush is loosening up or if I’m just getting used to it, but it was very pleasant to face lather with tonight. It produced a very dense lather that that continues the trend of getting better and better lathers with Stirling. I see Stirling always having a prominent place in my den.

I’m going to make tomorrow a short day at work. Around 1500 the Air Force Thunderbirds are going to do a flyover and whatnot over base housing and my little one is going to love it. I can’t wait to see her face when she sees the jets in formation and doing cool stuff. This eases the disappointment that the first air show we were supposed to have here in about 5 years or so is canceled.
Have a good night Cadre!

Awesome did not know you were a crewdog what AFSC?
The Air Force didn’t want me so I joined the Navy. 🤪 I’m a Seabee Diver. I live on NAS Point Mugu and just found out today about the flyover. Not sure how it came about but it’ll be pretty cool to see.

Cool I saw the T-birds, and Base housing and assumed I did the AFCDC in Panama City back eons ago LOL

Ahhh... PCB. What a place. Had many a hung over beat downs on the pool deck there. :ROFLMAO: We’re you a PJ?
I was indeed then went STS later on and Oh God that pool deck I still think there may be fragments of my hair and skin on that deck LOL, but I enjoyed that more than the one day egress at Pensacola, I did not like hitting the water and getting flipped LOL

Felt good to shave with a straight again. The smaller blade width feel like a different animal from the Boker but it was smooth and sharp. I did 3 passes with the Dixie and cleaned up with the Lupo. Ended up DFS+. No irritation or blood so all is good. I’ve used a Dorco blade in other razors And it didn’t feel too good but in the Lupo it felt smooth and close cutting. I’ve yet to find a blade that doesn’t work for me in this razor.
Today’s flyover from the Thunderbirds was anti-climatic. They came over fairly low and were gone in a matter of seconds. It was nice of the trees to block most of the view for us. oh well. It was still pretty cool to see them in formation over the farmland across the PCH as they went inland. After dinner we were out in the back yard and it seems that my daughter named the gopher that is tearing up the lawn and our dog Ralph forged a friendship with it. Looks like we have a 3rd pet named Mr. Mousie.
I am impressed with the work that was done to the razor I sent in for restoration. The blade looked pretty bad and I wasn’t expecting much beyond being able to shave with it. It was money well spent!

Who did the restoration? I have my great grandfather's straight, and it needs work. Yours turned out beautifully!

Or fly over didn’t even come down the peninsula so I just had to watch it on TV.

I guess now you don’t have to even try to get rid of the gopher!
