Aristocrateezy! Love it!

Lucky man to be able to enjoy the Rosa. I had my first shave with a Rose soap yesterday, jury is still out, but there was something going on.

You’re a speed demon with those DE strokes!

Thanks Dave...after getting used to the SR's, the DE's are real easy to use without worrying too much about irritation.

Nice shave and reach out to new members

Thanks Dave!

I enjoyed seeing your first impressions, I am happy you are enjoying the soaps so far and really look forward to your final thoughts.

You mentioned the Wagyu Beef Tallow being a new on the scene thing, it probably is but I can't be sure. I think Wagyu falls into a larger category of "grass fed" tallows although the farm I have sourced my tallow from uses a combination of full grass access and additional forage as needed to produce the "wagyu" marbling. Soap made with Grass Fed tallow seems to have a particular character you don't see with comercial tallow. Grass Fed beef has a different fatty acid structure, we hear about it all the time when people talk about the various health benefits of grass fed over grain fed. I can't speak to the health benefits but I can say for sure the grass fed tallows make a different soap. If I had not found this to be the case through experimentation on my own I would have called BS on the whole idea. Now that I have seen the way it affects soap I am willing to accept the idea that it would have a unique impact on the body.

Binge watching your videos and really appreciate the quality of your productions and the shaves you are getting! I still have much to learn about video production, esp. how to determine the picture that shows up on the YouTube menu. For mine it appears to select a random frame. Im sure it's relatively simple, but I am over analyzing it all.
Super great stuff Josh!

Great video Josh and looking forward to final thoughts and rating

Thanks Chris...I'm really enjoying the product you're putting out! Final review posted below!

Thanks Rich! For the thumbnail, there is an option to upload a custom one. that's what I do, otherwise it only gives you options for three shots during the video.

You heard it here folks. You want 10/10 from Josh, you gotta be wham bam, thank you ma'am!

When you sped up the video it was like watching a KJ shave ?

Just finished the video. See you have a new scoring deal. I'm not sure about the value score since you're basing that on price alone. This would mean a soap that is 10 across the board would also have to be cheap to score 100 point which doesn't seem realistic. It would be more complicated, but maybe something were you take the rest of the scores and then divide by the cost per once. This will at least off-set a higher performer. Or maybe just assign the score related to your perceived value.

Great Review! I'm so glad that you liked it as much as you did. I really think it's one of the best, and I had hoped you'd agree. If there was one thing I'd love to see different, it slightly better post shave feel, but it's already in the top 90-95% in that area. But other than that, It's the best!

He did say that scoring a 100 would be impossible, and that's probably a big part of the reason.

I agree that cost per ounce isn't the best, but it's something. The problem is each soap is going to load different. Some heavier some lighter. Softer soaps are going to give up more than harder pucks. So a cost per shave is a better metric there. You'd have to weigh the tubs before and after, and then probably do an average over several shaves to come up with good numbers there.
