Straight Razor Shave #147
Pre Shave: Dove Men+Care Deep Clean+ Face Scrub
Razor: CBLindsy Gold Dollar Mod
Brush: Envy Shave 24mm White Supreme 2 Band Badger Alluminati Classic - Blue
Soap: CBL Damascus Soap
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Thayers
After Shave: Myrsol F./Extra After Shave Lotion

This shave was 50% CBLindsy the soap and razor complements of Chris L.

The Damascus soap performed true to CBL form. Easy to load and lather. Lather is slick, stable, and good residual slickness. Not really getting much of a scent from the soap other than soap.

Just did 3 passes with the GD Mod and a nice BBS- result. Could have chased the BBS+, but just didn't feel the need to. One weeper on the neck and little to no alum sting.

Finished with the Myrsol F./Extra and I'm good to go.

Setup 4-9-2018


I had to put one of my Damascus Blade knives in the picture. This is one of 3 Godfather ProTech Knives made with this blade, abalone handles, and stainless steel body.

Just got caught up on your journal. Very entertaining.

Love that modded Gold Dollar, too. Scales on that one are pretty cool.

This was late afternoon shave on purpose. I had an appointment with the ophthalmologist for my yearly eye exam. She informed me I still had two and everything was still looking good. Which since I'm type 2 diabetic is great news! I do need to get some new glasses, but other than that no change from last year.
The reason I waited to shave was so I wouldn't be battling for counter space with SWMBO while she got ready for work.

Well if you have been fortunate enough to have used any of Chris L.'s latest creation, you know how this soap preformed, Excellent!

3½ passes with the Gold Dollar and I'm BBS with no nicks, weepers, or alum sting.
Finished with the Focus ASL and it matched well with the Adidas Moves Him.

Since this is a Damascus soap I had to put another Damascus knife in the picture. This is an AB (Armando Beltram) with stag handles.

Razor: Klas Tornblom Eskilstuna
Brush: Parker Silvertip Badger
Soap: CBL Vegan Damascus Cream
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Thayers
After Shave: Clubman Pinaud Whiskey Woods After Shave Lotion
Cologne: Cremo Blue Cedar and Cypress EdT

Well Chris you did a great job with the cream too! Nice, slick, easy to lather, kinda, thirsty, good residual slickness.

3½ passes with the Klas and I'm BBS+ with no nicks, weepers, and just a little alum sting on a stubborn patch on the chin.

Finished with the Whiskey Woods ASL and a few spritzes of the Cremo Blue Cedar and Cypress. They matched up very nicely!

Had to put another one of my Damascus knives in the picture. This is a Williams Henry B10-WMGC Lancet
'Wave' mokume frame, Gold lip pearl scales, and a 'Copper Wave' damascus blade. This is knife #1 of 500
I made a run to Franklin, TN yesterday after my appointment to find some whiskey for the next gathering, which is tomorrow night.
When I saw the name of these two of course I had to have them.

Here is a picture that shows the blade better on this knife:


I took yesterday and today off from work and I'm currently sitting on the patio at the cigar lounge having some Angel's Envy Bourbon and a Liga Pravida No. 9 Cigar.

Going to do my best to get caught up on journal reading!
