Great shave, and the pics are beautiful! Nice haul as well. B&M Seville was one of my first soaps, and remains a favorite scent.

Straight Razor Shave #274

Razor: Wacker Allround Blonde
Brush: Yaqi Barber Pole Two Band Badger 24mm
Soap: Soap Commander Respect
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave: Epsilon Blue Mediterranean After Shave
Cologne: Murray & Lanman Florida Water Cologne

Well even though this morning here in North Alabama wasn't very spring like at 43° I was in a spring like mood for today's shave. Soap Commander Respect was chosen as the soap. I wanted a known great performer to take the Yaqi Two Band Badger knot on it's 1st lather. I'm very impressed with this knot, dare I say it is on par with the Stirling Badger??? Yes I do! I'm looking forward to see how this knot breaks in. I didn't really get much odor from it out of the box, but I gave it a good washing in Borax and then a lathering and let it set with the lather on it overnight. The Yaqi loaded easily and it whipped up a great Soap Commander lather on par with any other brush I own. The tips were soft, no scritch, great flow through. Yes I'm impressed with this $28 brush. The handle is comfortable in my hand.

3 passes and some clean up with the Wacker produced a no nicks and no weepers shave. A little bit of alum sting, but it was expected. Had some stubborn areas on the lower neck. I'm rating this a BBS shave.

Finished off with a good splash of the Epsilon and then some spritzes of the Florida Water. A nice scent to start this Spring Day!

Straight Razor Shave #275

Razor: Union Razor Cutlery Co.
Brush: Yaqi Dandelion Green Cashmere Synthetic 24mm
Soap: Mickey Lee Soapworks The Kracken
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave 1: Aqua Velva 5 in 1 After Shave Balm
After Shave 2: Pinaud Clubman After Shave Lotion
Cologne: Yves Saint Laurent La Nuti De L'Homme EAU Électrique EdT

This is my 1st full tub of Mikey Lee's soap. I've used a few samples and always like the performance, just never had pulled the trigger on a full tub. The Kracken is their take on a "Barbershop" scent. Very nice scent. A good 2 of 5 in the tub and 3.5 lathered. Great slickness, glide/cushion, good residual slickness, and no stability issues. The Yaqi Cashmere knot performed very well on it's 1st outing. I did give it a good washing before use, but that was all. Nice backbone, good flow through, and it loaded easily. The tips were nice and soft. So for a less than $20 dollar brush, this is a good buy IMHO.

3 passed and some......well actaully too much clean up. Man did I get some alum sting and a few weepers. Should have just left well enough alone on the neck, but I was chasing he BBS+. So that being said the alum sting was well yes HOME ALONE level! I used some or the Aqua Velva Balm to attempt to lessen the razor burn, but I still had some. So while the results were BBS, this wasn't a good shave on the neck.

Finished with the balm as stated above, followed with a good splash of the Clubman. Yeah some bur there too! Then a few vasilis of the EAU Électrique. A great pairing! So at least I smell good!;)

Razor: RazoRock Mentor Head with Maggard Razors MR5 Blue Anodized Stainless Steel Handle
Blade: Feather
Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Disruptor Synthetic
Soap: Oz Shaving Co. Woodsman
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave 1: Aqua Velva 5 in 1 After Shave Balm
After Shave 2: Oz Shaving Co. Woodsman After Shave Tonic
Cologne: Dolce & Gabanna The One EdP

Finishing up the trials on my Oz Shaving Co. samples. I have one more, but I'm not a fan of the scent so I probably won't use it. No need too. Oz makes a great performing soap and after shave.
Whipped up a great lather. Woodsman's scent profile is from their website: "a rich forest of sandalwood, cedar, and oakmoss, blended with cardamom and pine meant to evoke a night stroll through the trees." Yeah that pretty much sums it up! I like this scent!

So much for the good part of this shave. I went with a DE due to the razor burn. That being said, why did I go with an aggressive razor and a Feather blade????😫😭 Needless to say I didn't help the razor burn any. No nicks or weepers, but I did aggravate the burn even more. Not a good shave, but BBS results.

Finished with the Aqua Velva and then the matching tonic. A few spritzes of The One and again, at least a good pairing and I'm smelling good.

Razor: Gillette NDC Gold Ball End Tech '46-'50
Blade: PolSilver Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Duke 3 in Pure Badger
Soap: Barrister and Mann Seville
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave 1: Aqua Velva 5 in 1 After Shave Balm
After Shave 2: Azzaro Chrome After-Shave Lotion
Cologne: Azzaro Chrome EdT

Seville is B&M's "Barber Shop" scent. A very nice scent. According to B&M's website: "a blend of lemon, bergamot, rosemary, lavender, patchouli, and oakmoss." I do like this scent. Strength of scent is 3 of 5 in the tub and a 4 of 5 lathered. Typically excellent B&M performance.

I went mild with today's razor. The Tech did deliver. The razor burn was pretty much gone and with the mild shave from the Tech and me not chasing the baby, I still got a good BBS- shave. A great shave over all.

Finished with the Aqua Velva balm and then followed the a splash of the Chrome. A few spritzes of the EdT and I'm good to go!

Looking forward to using these. A little disappointed with the strength of scent on the Daddy-O in the tub, almost no scent, but the After Shave is nice!

Straight Razor Shave #276

Razor: Geo H. Weyer Vulcan Steel
Brush: Envy Shave 24mm White Supreme 2 Band Badger Alluminati Classic - Blue
Croap: Chamber Shave Company Daddy-O
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave: Chamber Shave Company Daddy-O Luxury Shave Tonic

New to the Wet Shave Market, well at least online wise, but still pretty new, is Chambers Shave Company. I took advantage of the special offered to The Shaving Cadre and purchased 2 soaps and one matching after shave. I selected Daddy-O for today's shave. The scent is described as adventus and smoke. It does put me in the mind of Aventus for sure, I don't get alot of smoke, maybe just a tad. I'm disappointed by the strenght of scent however. The other scent I got is at least 3 times stronger. In the tub I'll give this a 0.5 of 5, just barely detectable. I hoped it would open up once lathered, but alas, not as much as I had hoped for! I'll give it a 1.5 lathered. The scent did last for the shave though. I do like this scent, just wish it was stronger! This is described as a "Croap", more of a soft soap consistency to me, but well okay, we'll go with croap. I didn't bloom this soap due to the softness, I think I will the next time. The Envy knot had no problem loading quickly and producing a great lather in the scuttle with very little effort. Excellent slickness, great cushion/glide, great residual slickness, and no stability issues.

3 passes and no clean up with the Vulcan and I'm BBS-. No alum sting and just one slight weeper. A great shave!

Finished with the matching Tonic. The scent of the Tonic is much stronger! A good 3.5 of 5. The face feel is excellent! My face feels great! I got about 4 to 5 hours longevity.

Straight Razor Shave #277

Razor: Klas Tornblom Eskilstuna
Brush: Stirling Soap Co Synthetic 2-Band 24mm
Soap: Stirling Soap Co. Deep Blue Sea
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave: Floïd Black After Shave
Cologne: L' Instant De Guerlain Pour Homme EdT

Choose to use Stirling's Deep Blue Sea today. This is their take on Bleu de Chanel. I've smelled this scent, but I don't own it. From memory, it's a pretty good match. Strenght of scent is a 2.5 of 5 in the tub and a 3.0 lathered. I like this scent! Typically great Stirling performance as expected.

3 passes and just a little clean up with the Klas for a weeper and nick free shave with just a tad bit of alum sting. A great BBS shave.

Not sure why I didn't even attempt to match the soap scent today. I did do an great job pairing the Floid Black with the L'Instant!

Razor: X2 Gillette Tech w/Maggard Razors MR9 Handle
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Whipped Dog 24mm Synthetic
Soap: CBL Premiumn Shave Soap Oud Minerale
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave: Soap Commander Integrity Aftershave Balm
Cologne: Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme Profumo

This soap was included with the The Shaving Cadre 1st Anniversary Brush. I'm assuming that since it's not on CBL's website it was a special run. The scent is patterned after Tom Ford's Oud Minerale. Having never smelled this scent I have no reference to compare it too. I do get the Oud for sure and some aquatic notes as well as a slight metalic scent. I do like the scent. A good 2 of 5 in the tub and a 3 of 5 lathered. Typically excellent CBL performance!

3 passes and just a little clean up wit the X2 produced a weeper, nick, and alum sting, free shave. A great BBS+ shave!

Finished with the Integrity Balm and a few vasilis of the Acqua Di Gio and I'm good to go! FYI The Acqua Di Gio does pair well with the Oud Minerale IMHO.

Razor: Curtin & Clark Cutlery Co. Our Princess
Brush: RazoRock BC Silvertip Plissoft Synthetic
Soap: RazoRock American Barber
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave: RazoRock American Barber After Shaving Splash
Cologne: Zcent American Barber EdP

Hadn't used a RazoRock soap in a while so I decided to go all RazoRock today. American Barber as you might guess is their "Barber Shop" scent. A very nice one too! I like the scent of this soap and of course RazoRock performance is great! No problems at all whipping up a great lather!

3 passes with the Our Princess. Got a small weeper on the chin, and some noticible alum sting on the neck and chin, but nothing major. A nice BBS shave!

Finished with the matching splash and a few spritzes of the Parfum and I'm smelling great!

Craig, have you tried Fine AB before? I forget. How’s the comparison to RR AB if you have?

Yes I have.
If you are talking performance wise, I'd give just a slight edge to Fine soap vs RazoRock and I do mean slight. Fine has just a little more residual slickness.
So far as the After shaves, edge to RazoRock's face feel.
Scent wise, both are patterned after Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Pour Homme. RazoRock is just a little more powdery to me than Fine. Both are very close to Rive Gauche. Rive Gauche has a more flowery and citrusy note, to me, than either of these. I really couldn't say that I prefer one over the other scent wise.

Brush: Paladin Chief 26mm Brair
Soap: Soap Commander Honor
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys Witch Hazel
After Shave: Soap Commander Honor Aftershave Splash
Cologne: Outbound Seafarer Solid Cologne

I was in a barbershop scent mood today so I selected Soap Commanders Honor. This a great barbershop scent! The Paladin whipped up a great lather with in no time. Typically great Soap Commander performance!

3 passes and some clean up with the Wacker. No nicks and 1 slight weeper. Just barely noticeable alum sting on the neck. A great BBS shave.

Finished with some of the Honor Splash and then applied some of the Seafarer. A very nice pairing IMHO!

Was lazy again this morning so I decided sleep a little longer and go with another after work shave.
It's been a bit since I used a shave stick so I grabbed the Palmolive. Great performing stick, almost as good as Arko, with a nice pleasant scent that I can't put my finger on, but I like it. The Asylum did a good job of whipping up a great lather with ease.

3 passes and just a little clean up with the Flare Tip. No nicks, weepers or alum sting. A great BBS+ shave.

Finished with the Aqua Velva Sport and then a few spritzes of the Acqua Esscnziale. Very nice pairing!

While deciding what software to use today, I came across Executive Man and the scent spoke to me! This is there take on Creed Aventus. A very nice interpretation! I like this scent. Grabbed the Stirling Badger and proceeded to whip up a great lather as expected from Stirling!

3 passes and a little touch up with Grandad's razor and I'm BBS with no nick or weepers. A surprising amount of alum sting on the neck, but not "Home Alone" level by any means.

Finished with the Balm and the followed with the splash. A few spritzes of the L'Aventure and I'm ready to head out for a "Gathering" of "The Order of the Dram".
