Very good and nice read. The overall review of the new soaps seems interesting, but not sure on some of those scents

Thanks for the reviews Craig! It's nice to see the Cadre checking out new soaps form different makers! Hey...what's your take on the Whiskey Bar Suavacito AS? I like the scent well enough and would probably wear it more...but man that scent goes no where! It's a good aftershave for if you are shaving just before bed...but it isn't something I reach for a lot.

Great trio of shaves Craig. Very cool fire pit win!

You have the regular sized Bruce? I’m looking to get one for travel. How do you like it in comparison to any other synths you have? I enjoy the Big Bruce.
Thanks Chris! I like the regular sized Bruce. All 3 of the RazoRock synths that I have are great brushes IMHO. Its the brush that I recommend to any newbie.
Nice shaves and thanks for the quality review on the soap
Thanks Dave!

Thanks Chad! He has several others.

Your Welcome Don! I like it so far as scent and face feel, but like you said the scent is weak.

Great video Craig...but holy smokes man...3 hours?! I might have just bought him a different razor at that point lol! Presumably not all bevel sets are that time consuming?

Thanks Chris! No they are not! I have repaired and set the bevel on a razor in under 30 minutes. It became a me vs the razor kind of thing.

Great video Craig. Wish I knew what I was doing with honing and maintaining a straight. Great you got the skills and did that for your friend and thanks for sharing the experience.

Yes here I am playing catch up again.

Soap: Fine Accoutrements Green Vetiver
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Fine Accoutrements Green Vetiver After Shave
Cologne: Davidoff Cool Water EdT

Celebrating the Alabama Crimson Tide Victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs 24-0, ROLL TIDE!

A Fine shave just like the win! Whipped a great lather with the Fine Classic brush. 3 passes with the Delta Echo and just a tad bit of clean up yielded a nice BBS+ shave.

Finished up with the matching AS and then a few vasilis of the Cool Water. A very nice pairing to my sense of smell.

Straight Razor Shave #223
Razor: Curtin & Clark Cutlery Co. Our Princess
Brush: Crown King The Tali Long Rider Suave Shaving Brush - 26mm Synthetic
Soap: Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Spring Heeled Jack
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Clubman Reserve Brandy Spice After Shave
Cologne: Azzaro Pour Homme EdT

I was in a coffee scent kind of mood and I haven't used this soap in a while so. No problem whipping up a great lather. The main problem with this lather is resisting the temptation to lick it!

Did the normal 3 passes and some clean up. Managed a couple of weepers and had some pretty good alum sting on the neck and chin. Overall a BBS shave.

Finished up with a nice splash of the Brandy Spice and then some spritzes of the Azzaro. Great pairing!

Razor: RazoRock Mentor Head with Maggard Razors MR5 Blue Anodized Stainless Steel Handle
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: RazoRock BC Silvertip Plissoft Synthetic
Soap: Dirty Bastard Soap Co. Freedom
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: American Shaving Company After-Shave Balm Original
Cologne: Hoyt's Cologne

I haven't used the Freedom soap in a while, I think the last time was on Independence Day. No reason why, it's a great performing soap. This is there unscented version. The BC had no problem whipping up a great later. Nice and slick with great glide/cushion and great residual slickness. No stability issues. The consistency of this soap is very cream like though. One could easily mistake for a cream.

Just wasn't feeling the mojo to use a straight today. Grabbed the Mentor and went to town. 3 passes yielded a nice BBS. Didn't need any clean up really. A great overall shave!

Rubbed on some of the American Shaving Company After-Shave Balm. This is there take on "barbershop scent". This really is a good performing balm. Some dotties of the Hoyt's and I'm good to go.

Straight Razor Shave #224
Razor: CBLindsay Gold Dollar Mod
Brush: Envy Shave 24mm White Supreme 2 Band
Badger Alluminati Classic - Blue
Soap: Via Barberia by Pennellificio Omega Aquae
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Via Barberia by Pennellificio Omega Aquae After Shave Serum
Cologne: Azzaro Chrome EdT

When I was digging around for the Dirty Bastard Freedom for yesterday's shave I ran across this soap and remembered it had been a while since I used it.
Another great performing soap that I have neglected. This soap lathers easily using the SV method. Great slickness, good glide/cushion, and great residual slickness. The scent of this soap is very nice fresh aqaua, citrusy, and bergamot. I like it! A good 2 of 5 and lathered is a 2.5 scent strength. The lather is nice and stable and the scent last for the entire shave.

3 passed with the Gold Dollar and some touch up and I'm BBS-

Finished with the Serum, which is also some great stuff. The scent is a dead on match. Pretty mild strength wise, but a good 4 hours of longevity. Followed with a few spritzes of the Chrome and I'm all set to go and watch the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Citadel Bulldogs!

Great shaves per usual good sir!

Any idea if Fine Green Vetiver a match to their Clean Vetiver or Fresh Vetiver? Or is it a totally different scent?
