I come for the photos and get the added bonus of puns.

Great mail calls!

Great photos, Craig; and nice mail call, too! In your recent pix, are you using a reflective surface, or is it some photo editing magic?

Thanks Chris!
It's a mirror, I think it was called a candle plate that I picked up at Hobby Lobby on sale for like $5.00 if I remember correctly. That was a tip I picked up from Dave aka Xenostr8shaver when he did the how to photo show at the other place. Can't remember who he attributed it to.

BOOM! Awesome stuff Craig! Though I am disappointed with the red in the cup...

Straight Razor Shave #196

Pre Shave: Urth Face Scrub and Wash
Razor: Grandad's Union Razor Cutlery Co.
Brush: Fine Accoutrements Stout 24mm Synthetic
Soap: Soap Commander Connection
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Soap Commander Connection After Shave Balm

The problem with ending a theme is what to choose next.

Hadn't used any Soap Commander in a while so I choose the Connection for today's shave. 1st lather with the Fine Stout. Whipped up a great lather with no problems. This is a really good synthetic, has really good backbone and is still nice and soft. Flow through is good.

Grandad's straight was chosen, 3 passes and some clean up. A couple of slight weepers and just a tad noticeable bit of alum sting. A nice BBS.

Finished with the matching Balm.

Straight Razor Shave #197

Pre Shave: Urth Face Scrub and Wash
Razor: Grandad's Union Razor Cutlery Co.
Brush: Simpson X3 Commodore in Best Badger
Soap: Black Ship Grooming Co. Captain Joe
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Pinaud Clubman After Shave Lotion
Cologne: Hoyt's Cologne

Don't lick the lather regardless of how it smells!

The only problem with this soap is it smells so tasty! The whole time you are shaving you are tempted to lick the lather. I don't recommend doing that!

3 passes and some clean up with Grandad's razor and I'm BBS. No nicks, weepers, or alum sting.

Finished with the Clubman and followed with the Hoyt's. Yeah I smell like a barbershop, but I like it!

Been a when it rains it pours couple of days at work. Can't get one system running before I'm called to another one. Sure does make the day go by quick though!

Great duo of shaves Craig!

I’m often tempted to take a bite of my Cella puck, I know what you mean!

The Cadre mug looks sharp!
