Good stuff Craig! Just curious...how is the Amici soap? I have a tub of it that I have never used and was just wondering!

Nice shaves and pics.
Thanks Doug!

Thanks Don! It's a good performing soap, typical RazoRock for me. The strength of scent is low 2 of 5. I do like the scent. If you already have it break it out and use it. I'd be interested in your opinion.

Great stuff Craig. I own a lot of Razorock soaps, and reading your thread is making me want to join you. But it will have to wait until after I return from my Business trip on the 17th.

Thanks Chad! I don't think I have enough to last till the 17th. But you can restart the theme when you get back.

And the RR show continues to roll right along.

Craig, I tried to read through your posts to get caught up, but I have just been away too long. It is great to see you riding. I did want to mention that spokes can cause a tube to blow out on the rim side. You will want to wrap the rim with electrical tape to protect the tube from the spoke ends.

Other than that, I did read about some great shaves, great cigars and great whiskey. but I'm certain there is a bunch in between that I missed.

Nice shaves Craig. I keep meaning to get some Whiskey woods aftershave. Thanks for the reminder
Thanks Dave! Your Welcome!

Thanks Walt! Good to see you back! Yeah I did check the spokes. The rim has a liner. No issues were found. I think I just got a bad tube.

Pre Shave: Dove Men+Care Deep Clean+ Face Wash
Razor: X2 Gillette Tech w/Maggard Razors MR9 Handle
Blade: Feather
Brush: Simpson Commodore X3 in Best Badger
Soap: RazoRock American Barber
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: RazoRock American Barber After Shave Splash
Cologne: Zcent American Barber EdT

Still riding the RazoRock Railroad

This is one of my newer RazoRock scents. This is a very nice barbershop scent. Typical RazoRock performance. The Commodore had no problem whipping up a lather and I proceeded with the shave.

I had to be at work a little earlier than normal today so I dhd to get up earlier than normal this morning so I was still a little groggy even after a shower so I decided to go with a DE. Grabbed the X2 Tech with the Feather blade. This blade is getting near the end of its life. Still got a BBS shave, no nick or weepers and just a tad of alum sting. A nice BBS- shave.

Finished up with the matching AS and EdT. A nice way to start an early day.

Straight Razor Shave #192

Pre Shave: CBL Pre Shave
Razor: Hess 44
Brush: Wolf Whiskers Bishop "Party on Bourbon Street" with Elite Razor 28mm Manchurian White Knot
Soap: RazoRock Emperor
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave 1: Duke Cannon Cooling After Shave Balm
After Shave 2: RazoRock Emperor After Shave Splash
Cologne: Zcent Emperor EdT

I can see the end of theme.

This is RazoRock's take on Creed Aventus. A very nice clone. The Wolf Whisker whipped up a typical RazoRock lather. Low the scent of this soap!

I choose the Hess 44 for this shave. Is it Monday? Not sure why but this shave wasn't one of the greatest straight shaves that I've had. 3 passes yielded a BBS- with 5 yes 5 weepers.... What the crap. I'm sure it was all me, the Hess's edge felt just fine. Nice and sharp and smooth, I just kept getting darn weepers. Pressure? Maybe the alum sting was noticeable but not "Home Alone" level by any means. The alum sealed off any remaining weepers.

Just to be safe I put on some of the Duke Cannon balm first. Followed with the Splash and then a few vasilis of the EdT. I'm smooth and smelling good!

Typical Friday night at the cigar lounge. Currently enjoying some Basil Hayden Bourbon and a Monte Cristo Monte cigar. A nice way to unwind from a very busy, but quickly passing week!

Nice couple of shaves Craig sans the 5 weepers. LOVE the barbershop pic. Miss my old barber that had a shop just like that. Still have some straights he gave me that bring back memories of him. Rough guy but really nice when you got to know him.
