The Barbershop one. I've passed on it because I figure I have enough barbershop scents. I'm sure it'll end up in the den one day.

Straight Razor Shave #193

Pre Shave: LAB Series Pro LS All-In-One Cleansing Gel
Razor: Hess 44
Brush: Maggard Razors 24mm Black & White Synthetic
Soap: RazoRock Tuscan Oud
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave 1: Aqua Velva Sensitive 5-in-1 After Shave Balm
After Shave 2: RazoRock Tuscan Oud After Shave Splash
Cologne: Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Parfumo

I really didn't realize I had this many RazoRock Soaps!

Okay Mr. Murphy UNCLE, UNCLE, UNCLE!

Whipped up a great lather with the Black & White and not deterred by the last shave with the Hess 44, I used it again today.
What the Crap? Okay yeah 1st of all 4th stroke and I came in hot and gave myself a slight racing stripe. No worries totally my fault, just not paying attention. Then I managed to reopen a couple of yesterday weepers, expected. Then OUCH, oh yeah this razor has a square tip, and you have to remember that....OUCH really again. Nothing major, just a little stripe on both. I finished without any more seepage and then the alum OMG what the crap, yes this was a Home Alone Alum Sting! I guess I was just too aggressive today.

Applied some of the Balm to calm things down and then finished with the matching splash.

The Acuqa Di Gio Parfumo is a great match to this scent so a few spritzes of it and at least I'm smelling good! Still a BBS shave, sans the Mr. M.

Setup 8-11-2018

As per the norm I'm at the cigar lounge on the patio enjoying some Glenlivet 12 and a Canimao cigar. Good way to forget about the shave!

Ouch...sorry Craig. I guess we have all been there, but that doesn't really make things better. Look at it this way...at least you smell REALLY good!

Sounds like a rough one Craig. Way to drown the memory afterwards.
It wasn't as bad as this GIF and I'm not quite that stubborn! Almost, but not quite.

Thanks Don. Yeah, surprisingly there wasn't any razor burn.

I was definitely expecting some.

Sorry about the rough shave with the Hess Craig, but sounds like all was right as rain when you got to the lounge!

Sorry for the blood letting on the 11th Craig. Some of my square points really require my full attention.

RazoRock changed the name of their Creed Aventus clone to, "Emperor"? It used to be called, "The Freedberg". I actually still have a bottle of the aftershave. Honestly, it's the closest clone to Aventus that I've seen yet.

Thanks Josh! It certainly didn't hurt anything!

Yeah it's called Emperor now, and I agree it's close.
hmmm I wonder what Craig is up to... YUP Razorock!
How did you figure that out? The question is how many more do I have to go?

Straight Razor Shave #194

Pre Shave: Bull Dog Original Face Scrub
Razor: Buck Salient #138 of 250
Brush: TSC Barzini
Soap: RazoRock What The Puck Blue Barbershop
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: RazoRock Blue Barbershop After Shave Splash

What the? It's a RazoRock Theme!

Blue Barbershop was the scent for today's shave. A very nice rendition of Floid Blue. The What The Puck line is a triple milled soap. Using the SV method the TSC brush whipped up a great lather.
The Buck did it's job in moving down a 2 day growth. I did slightly re-open the stripe from yesterday. A couple of slight weepers. The alum sting was there but not bad. A nice BBS shave.

Finished with the matching After Shave. A good way to start the work week.

8-15-2018
Pre Shave: CBL Pre Shave Soap
Razor: F1 Gillette Fatboy
Blade: PolSilver Super Iridium
Brush: Envy Shave 24mm White Supreme 2 Band Badger Alluminati Classic - Blue
Soap: RazoRock What The Puck Orange Sunrise
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Lucky Tiger After Shave and Face Tonic
Cologne: Terre d’Hermès EdT

Orange you glad this theme is almost over?

No shave Tuesday, needed the sleep, then again this morning, needed the extra 30 minutes again. So this was a after work shave.

Orange Sunrise is the scent for this shave. Whipped up a great lather with the Envy brush and proceeded to the shave.

After a long day in the heat at work I just wasn't in the mood to use a straight so I grabbed the Fatboy. This was the one of the best shave I've ever had with DE. Not sure why, but after just 2 passes and a little clean up, I was BBS-. No alum sting, nicks or weepers. If I had been in the mood I this could have been a Grail Shave with another pass, I think.

Finished with the Lucky Tiger and a few spritzes of the Terre d'Hermes and I'm good to go!

8-17-2018
Pre Shave: CBL Pre Shave Soap
Razor: F1 Gillette Fatboy
Blade: PolSilver Super Iridium
Brush: Crown King The Tali Long Rider Suave Shaving Brush - 26mm Synthetic
Soap: RazoRock What Lime Burst
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Royall Lyme All Purpose Lotion
Cologne: Royall Lyme All Purpose Lotion

Almost to the end of the lime with this theme.

Didn't shave Thursday, believe it or not I really didn't need too. I was still a solid DFS Thursday morning.

The Lime Burst scent is a very nice Lime scent and the later was great.

Since the Fatboy did so well for the last shave, I went with it again. Another BBS+ shave. Just a little alum sting. No nicks or weepers.

Finished with the Royall Lyme. Love this stuff!

Straight Razor Shave #195

Pre Shave: LAB Series Pro LS All-In-One Cleansing Gel
Razor: Buck Salient #138 of 250
Brush: RazoRock BC Silvertip Plissoft Synthetic
Soap: RazoRock Blue Fougere
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: RazoRock Blue Fougere After Shave Splash
Cologne: Yves Saint Laurent La Nuti De L'Homme EAU Électrique EdT

Last of the RazoRock Theme shaves.

To finish up the theme the RazoRock Blue Fougere was all that was left. This is great fougere scent. No need to bloom this croap, just a damp brush load and add water till a great lather was in produced. Love the scent!

3 passes with the Buck and just little clean up on the chin. BBS+ with no nicks or weepers. A little alum sting on the chin and pretty much none anywhere else.

Finished with the matching Splash. Followed this with the Electrique.

Craig, I’m Really curious what you thought of the scent of the Blue Fougere. I sampled it from the PIF from Chad, and didn’t care for it. It was no Fougere as far as I’m concerned. Just smelled floraly.

A lot of really great shaves and loving the themes and the pics Craig! Hoping work and life slow down for you a bit here soon!

KJ I like this scent, my first impression hasn't really changed, but now that you mention it I do get just a little floral scent.
The scent is well AWESOME! The best way I can describe it is a light clean fougere, with a nice powdery note, and to me a slight tonka note.
Nice reads and theme shaves Craig
Thanks Dave!
Great way to finish off the RazoRock themed shaves, Craig!
Thanks Josh!
