The Paladin soaps and balm are indeed excellent. It’s too bad that once they’re gone, they’re gone.

MMM...gotta love grilled chicken at work!
Yes the "Gill Masters" did a very good job!
Can't wait to see the Hess.
Thanks Don! Hopefully soon!
Great shave. I love Cool Water.
Thanks Doug!

Thanks Josh!

Some great shaves Craig, and congratulations of getting the gremlin cornered. Now squash him like a bug!

Straight Razor Shave #166

Pre Shave: ?
Razor: Clyde Twinworks 50¾
Brush: Fine Accoutrements Classic 20mm Synthetic
Soap: Fine Accoutrements Platinum
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Fine Accoutrements Platinum After Shave
Cologne: Club De Nuit Intense Man EdT

This is the setup for the shaving video that I did so, not much to say. Fine all the way.
A few weepers but other than that a BBS shave.

Pre Shave: ?
Razor: RazoRock Mission
Blade: Derby Extra
Brush: RazoRock Disruptor Synthetic

Cream: Proraso Red
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Proraso Red After Shave Lotion
Cologne: Caswell-Massey Sandalwood Cologne.

This shave setup was chosen for a reason. I'm working on a How To Wet Shave video and this is the setup that I used for it. The editing is taking much longer than I thought. I'll let everyone know when I get it finished.

Anyhow a great shave even with the Derby blade. BBS and no nicks, weepers, or irritation.

Capped it off with the Proraso Red ASL.
Then a few spritzes of the Caswell-Massey Sandalwood Cologne.

Pre Shave: ?
Razor: RazoRock Mentor Head with Maggard Razors MR5 Blue Anodized Stainless Steel Handle
Blade: Parker Premium Platinum
Brush: RazoRock BC Silvertip Plissoft Synthetic
Soap: Italian Barber Amici
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: American Shaving Co. After-Shave Balm

Still putting the Parker blade through it's paces. So far I have no complaints about this blade. The Mentor is an aggressive razor and the blade performed great.
The Amici soap scent was disappointing strength wise. Maybe a 1.5 of 5 was all. Very light. Hard to pick out any notes, but it was nice. According to Italian Barber:

Olfactory Pyramid:
Top Notes: Red Grapefruit, Lemon, Orange
Heart Notes: Spices
Base Notes: Amber, Musk, Hay, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Patchouli

Otherwise the soap performed well. Easy to load and lather. Slickness was great, glide/cushion good, residual slickness great, and no stability problems.

3 passes with the Mentor and just a little touch up. A nice BBS+ shave.

Finished with the American Shaving Co. balm. This balm really performs well. Absorbs quickly and has a nice barbershop kinda scent. Not too strong and last about 2 hours.

Pre Shave: ?
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable Z2
Blade: Parker Premium Platinum
Brush: Simpson Duke 3 in Pure Badger
Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Lucky Tiger After Shave/Face Tonic
Cologne: Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa EdT

Not too much to say about this shave, it was excellent. Whipped up a great Williams lather and 3 passes yielded a BBS+ shave.

Splashed on some Lucky Tiger and then a few vasilis of the AdP. Pretty good paring.

Straight Razor Shave #167

Pre Shave: ?
Razor: Klas Tornblom Eskilstuna
Brush: Envy Shave 24mm White Supreme 2 Band Badger Alluminati Classic - Blue
Soap: Le Pere Lucien Oud - Santal
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Le Pere Lucien Oud - Santal After Shave
Cologne: Cassey-Massey Sandalwood Cologne

Man I love this soap, lathers like a dream and the scent is excellent!

3 passes and some cleanup with the Klas. A couple of weepers, and just a tad bit of alum sting. Overall a BBS-.

Splashed on some of the matching ASL. The scent match is dead on. Nice 2.5 of 5 strength of scent and a good 3 to 4 hours longevity. Nice face feel too. Good Stuff!

A few spritzes of the Cassey-Massey and I'm good to go.

Straight Razor Shave #167

Pre Shave: ?
Razor: Buck Salient #138 of 250
Brush: Wolf Whiskers Bishop "Party on Bourbon Street" with Elite Razor 28mm Manchurian White Knot
Soap: RazoRock Acqua
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: RazoRock Acqua After Shaving Splash
Cologne: Zcent Acqua Cologne

A nice overall shave. The Acqua scent is a very nice.
According to Italian Barber:
Scent: The breeze off a Mediterranean island; aquatic marine notes, fruits, herbs, and woods.
Pretty much nails it. Typical RazoRock performance on the soap and splash. Great stuff.

3 Passes with the Buck and a weeper on the chin. So clean up in a stubborn area on the neck, which did yield some alum sting, as expected. Nice BBS.

Finished with the splash and cologne. A good scent to go to the company picnic.

Setup 6-9-2018

Went to the Company Picnic with SWMBO today. Then off to the cigar lounge. A nice day!

Man, some great shaves and products/gear in there Craig!

I think I spent more time admiring your knife collection though, lol!

The star of today's shave (a day late, sorry guys) was The Shaving Cadre Legacy Brush. Eric you really did an excellent job!! This brush works as great as it looks!

Straight Razor Shave #168

Pre Shave: Urth Face Scrub and Wash
Razor: Grandad's Union Razor Cutlery Co.
Brush: The Shaving Cadre Legacy
Soap: Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber Aftershave

Nothing to say about the soap, It's Chiseled Face GTB!

The brush feels very nice in my hand. This is the 1st time I've used a brush with a fan knot. Its a Quartermoon synthetic Tuxedo. The knot is soft, and has excellent backbone, a little springy. It loaded easily and had no issues making a lather in the scuttle. The flow through was excellent. I love this brush!

3 passes with Grandad's razor, and I did manage to nick myself in front of my ear on the right side. Nothing major just a little stripe.
A nice BBS with just a little alum sting.

Finished with the GTB Aftershave. A nice end to the inaugural shave for the TSC Brush.

I'm really honored to be one of the legacy members here! This b
rush will always be a cherished member of my shaving den!
Thanks to Dave, Chad, and Chris and of course Eric for making this happen!

Great pics of the brush!

OK, major elephant in the room, shoot straight with me now...what’s the deal with GTB? Is this like one of those Tabacaveg things or is it genuinely a soap every here enjoys? What’s the scent profile for you?

YES!!! Love the Craig-o-thon catch ups!! Great shaves all around. Really looking forward to your video introduction to Traditional Wet-shaving!

Thanks Chris! Ghost Town Barber is best described as a barbershop scent with some dirt thrown in. Most everyone here likes it, and I would say that about 85% of those that I've let smell it like the scent. According to Chiseled Face's website it is their No. 1 seller.
Craig what a catch up! Wow!
Thanks Chad!
