Everyone here is so thoughtful! At the request of @August West's cardiologist or psychiatrist (I forget which), today's SOTD photo was taken knot down in order not to excite Tony with the full-bloomed splendor of the luxurious Kent silvertip knot.

Actually, Dave, I'm more fearful than thoughtful.Everyone here is so thoughtful!
Thanks Chris. You also, my friend.Glad your Monday started out boo-boo free Charlie! Hopefully the rest of the day follows suit!
Do you have a favorite scent of the MDC collection?
Wow, a heated brush! Nifty. That wet Kent looks like a hedgehog in heat.
Thanks Bruce. I face lather, and the scuttle does double duty. I use it to soak boar or badger brushes prior to the shave, and then I use it to keep the lather warm between passes. It feels really nice, and I'm surprised I haven't broken the scuttle yet.Wow, a heated brush! Nifty.
I don't use any ceramics in my shave. I can't be trusted not to break them.I'm surprised I haven't broken the scuttle yet.
That sounds wonderful, Clint. Congrats to Maya. She has done well in college, and it seems the time has flown by.Great shaves and posts Charlie. Sounds like a fantastic trip you guys have planned. We hope to be able to take a nice trip next May to celebrate Maya's college graduation.
Nice stand!@JTSpartan and I made a 'no buy' wager in January. Long story short, I cratered. Thankfully, it involved some behind the scenes wheeling and dealing, and I made out with this beautiful handmade razor stand from Jason's wood shop. It is currently en route. Meanwhile, I'm doing my best to have some new acquisitions ready to fill it up.
However, I still think Jason should use Tabac for 30 straight shaves in January (would have been required if I had made it a year) as a sign of our friendship and especially because I'd like see him continue winning. If you think so too, why don't you tag him and let him know?
Thank you again, Jason. The razor stand will be a welcome addition to my den.

Beautiful razors, Charlie! Enjoy them!I have some incoming razors from the estate of @Somnos. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to meet Ed. In reading some of his posts, however, he was truly a kindhearted man with a sweet spirit. He had a deep knowledge of vintage Gillette razors and a knack for finding some real beauties. I hope to enjoy my new razors for years to come. I extend my prayers to his family.

A big thanks to @woodpusher for organizing this effort on behalf of Ed's family and for his kindness to me.

Thanks Jeff. That's high praise coming from a gent like you with such a beautiful collection of gear. Even though you're sadly confused and horribly mistaken about Tabac.Beautiful razors, Charlie! Enjoy them!
Thank you, Sam! I'll contact you soon for Excel spreadsheet hints and tips. Caution: inside joke.Thank YOU, Charlie, for your support!

Hmmm... since you didn't complete your end, perhaps you could split the difference and ask for 15 days penance from @JTSpartan?However, I still think Jason should use Tabac for 30 straight shaves in January (would have been required if I had made it a year) as a sign of our friendship
Thanks Clint!Great looking razors and stand Charlie. Congrats.
That seems fair. After 15 days, @JTSpartan would probably be hooked on Tabac and decide on his own to keep winning.Hmmm... since you didn't complete your end, perhaps you could split the difference and ask for 15 days penance from @JTSpartan?
