Charlie's Shaves & Shenanigans (not necessarily in that order)

Glad your Monday started out boo-boo free Charlie! Hopefully the rest of the day follows suit!

Do you have a favorite scent of the MDC collection?
Thanks Chris. You also, my friend.

The only MdC scent I've tried is the original. I have a brand new puck of MdC unscented (purchased years ago before I got cool) waiting in the wings. Knowing what I know now, I would have surely grabbed another scented puck. I've decided to experiment with some essential oil once I finally break it out.

I have some incoming razors from the estate of @Somnos. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to meet Ed. In reading some of his posts, however, he was truly a kindhearted man with a sweet spirit. He had a deep knowledge of vintage Gillette razors and a knack for finding some real beauties. I hope to enjoy my new razors for years to come. I extend my prayers to his family.

A big thanks to @woodpusher for organizing this effort on behalf of Ed's family and for his kindness to me.

@JTSpartan and I made a 'no buy' wager in January. Long story short, I cratered. Thankfully, it involved some behind the scenes wheeling and dealing, and I made out with this beautiful handmade razor stand from Jason's wood shop. It is currently en route. Meanwhile, I'm doing my best to have some new acquisitions ready to fill it up. :ROFLMAO:

However, I still think Jason should use Tabac for 30 straight shaves in January (would have been required if I had made it a year) as a sign of our friendship and especially because I'd like see him continue winning. If you think so too, why don't you tag him and let him know? 😝

Thank you again, Jason. The razor stand will be a welcome addition to my den.

Nice stand!

And are those unturned resin blanks I see in the background? 😮

Beautiful razors, Charlie! Enjoy them!

Thanks Jeff. That's high praise coming from a gent like you with such a beautiful collection of gear. Even though you're sadly confused and horribly mistaken about Tabac.

I had wanted a spare NEW LC (my favorite vintage Gillette razor) for awhile. The other razors are unique (to me, anyway), and I like the fact that they all have an open comb design.

I hope you are doing well, Jeff! Say hello to Gromit for me. 🐕
