Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Ah, I was thinking of a paid water park. You got off easy.

I was so upset ;-)

Which is why the audible was called.

I feel you on the wedding ring thing. My wedding ring fell off my finger a couple months ago. I didn't want to get it sized until I finished losing weight. So my wife went on to Amazon and bought a few stainless steel rings in multiple sizes for $11 each!

I am wearing one of those right now. My ring size is now an 8.5! I don't think my fingers could get any smaller. I swear losing weight is so weird, because my fingers also look longer, not sure how that's possible though!

Razor: QShave Futur Clone
Blade: Personna Blue (1)
Soap/cream: Wild West Wichita
Brush: Wolf Whiskers
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Clubman Special Reserve

Oh boy! First this soap was PIFed to me from CMH737 and he didn't dig this scent. I was nervous because 9/10 we tend to agree with scents. But this one I really like! I am happy to have it so thank you Chris!

The shave today was very weird. I always pay attention to my technique when using this razor. But I got two nics and just felt a lot of irritation. When I removed the blade I noticed what I would describe as a notch in the edge. Needless to say I binned the balde after one use. I have never gotten a bad blade before so this was a first. Well after 4 years I guess it could be worse.

I did record the shave you will find that over in my vlog section.

Homefront:

So to continue with the Build a Bear fiasco yesterday. They emailed us and gave us vouchers to go in at another date of our choosing and still get the deal. It is Friday the 13th so be careful cadre! And enjoy your weekend.

All caught up, Chad. Great reads. Interesting about the Build-A-Bear promotion; only in America, eh?

Most definitely!

good stuff chad, though sorry to hear about the rough shave.

I think the blade was defective. I tried to get a close up during the video but it didn't show as well as I hoped. But I could clearly see that something wasn't right on the blade.

Razor: Grandpa's Gillette Slim
Blade: Bolzamo (1)
Soap/cream: Lisa's NHC Tobacco and Bay
Brush: Maggards Black Synthetic
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Superior 70th Bay Rum

Well today I grabbed out a sample from Lisa that put on a tub. This is her original formula. The scent is very nice and I really enjoy it. I recommend it for sure. I did re open the wound from yesterday but aside from that the shave was perfect.

I will get caught up hopefully tonight. We are going to try and get to the local Aviary and watch a bird show and feed some birds. Just waiting for the kids to finish the pancakes I cooked up. YUM! Have a great Saturday Cadre.

Nice shave, Chad. I really like Lisa's original formula. Have it in Cedar & Saffron, and need to pull it out soon.

Good, easy shave Chad. Enjoy the day with family!
Aviary bird show with the family - sounds cool.

Thanks all for the comments. We had a great time and Connor even volunteered during the show which was fun. We got rained out so we stopped at Chuck E. Cheese for a bit. Kids had a great day. Wife and I are tired.

Nice shave. You reminded me, I have a Bolzano blade or 2 to give a go as I've never used before. Gotta dig it out. Sorry about the rain out but CC to the rescue !!

Good stuff with the Lisa's Chad! Sounds like the aviary was a lot of fun...followed by Chuck-e Cheese?! Yes please, but stay away from the pizza!

I really like Bolzano Blades. Good stuff! The rain was welcoming so I'm not complaining. We all enjoyed it until the down pour. For awhile it was just very light rain and we just walked around in it. Felt great!

Thanks Josh. No we did not eat there. We had already eaten at the Aviary so weren't hungry.

Razor: Muhle R41
Blade: Bolzano (2)
Soap/cream: Beehive Bay Rum
Brush: Razorock F400

Well today I grabbed one of my elite soaps yup you heard it elite. Beehive to me is elite. It hits all the marks. I also got an exceptional shave. I wrapped it up with Whiskey Woods and am ready for the day. I did record the shave and it should be up later. I discuss some updates, what's to come, and just jib jab.

Nothing crazy to report. We are heading into church soon then have to run to the store to grab a few items. We leave Friday for a 3 night camping trip, then come home for a few nights then head out for a week! So a lot of camping coming up before the football season kicks into gear! Hope you all have a great Sunday Cadre.
