Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Nice shave Chad. Looks like it was a boar day for you too. Hope the firefighters get a break. I still remember camping as a youth with my family. Your kids will look back on these memories with fondness. Have a great day.

Thanks Dave. That is what we are hoping for.

An unobtanium soap - very nice, Chad!

Safe travels to Ft. Knox.
Those are hard working, under paid, and under appreciated folk - they're heroes in my book.

Thanks Chris. And they are certainly heroes. And sorry for the confusion we are not going to Ft. Knox. My parents are, I wish we were but sadly it was not in the cards this year.

I like it to, but it didn't seem right this year with 7 forest fires going strong in Utah. Woke up today and the valley is FULL of smoke. Smells like a campfire outside. We need rain BAD!
I hear ya on that. Better to be safe. Dry conditions and fireworks just don't mix. There's always another time. I didn't even do, or see a single firework this year. Just lazy.

Good stuff Chad...always nice to see some unobtainium used on here!

Hope that the fires are kept in check long enough that they can get them under control, and as few people are affected going forward.

Good shave with the unobtainium today Chad!

Enjoy the bingo this evening! You should throw in a couple magic eye calls on some que cards...just saying...

Great shave and picture Chad!

Those forest firefighters are a different breed for sure! As are all fire fighters. I volunteered for several years in my early 20's. Forest fires are ruff! They always told us in training that we had to be a little crazy, running into places everyone else is running out of.

Those fires seem like no joke. I definitely have an appreciation for fire fighters.

Thank you both. And yes the fires are crazy and so thankful for those fighting them.

Well no shave from me today. I'm going in for a haircut soon and figured I'll ask my barber for a shave also. Haven't had one in awhile and figure it will be a nice change of pace.

Well La Te da. Must be nice to have a barber who will shave around your spars facial hair without laughing.
We have a couple in the area who say they will do a proper shave. I interviewed one and quickly decided No way. The other has a decent reputation but I got such a horrible haircut from one of the ladies he hired I don’t have faith in his judgment. I honestly think I may just ask my son to shave my face someday, his friends say he does ok.

My barber has been cutting hair a long time. He starting cutting my dad's when he was 14. When my barber retired I joke that'll just shave it all and go bald.

So the shave was from a lather machine but he adds glycerin to the face before applying lather. The shave was with shavette and he got me pretty darn close. I really enjoyed it.

Nice shave Chad.

The fires over there sound bad. I used to love fighting wildland fires. Nothing quite like going into a burning area with a bunch of your buddies armed with specialized hand tools to put it out.

Don do you see the flaw in that statement? Like I stated earlier. Firefighters run into places everyone else is running out of. And yes been there done that!

I never claimed to have all my marbles. For me, it was more about the challenge and the sense of accomplishment.

The couple straight shaves I've had in Knoxville some time ago were relaxing but disappointing results. I'd like to give it a shot again somewhere else when traveling.

Thanks Don. And I must say I am glad there are people like you to help fight these fires!

Sounds like a nice relaxing experience, Chad!

It certainly was.

Well my barber has been doing it a long time. I feel better with him doing it. I did another one time somewhere else. Horrible burn!
