Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Chad, I skimmed the past few days, but missed you'd lost a friend. So sorry to hear that. This disease can be cruel.

Well I am here been so busy but alas I am here. The summer is the time of travel for our household. And July has been no stranger to traveling. Have had plenty of over $100 gas bills filling the motorhome, and have logged a LOT of miles. My shaves have been minimal only shaving when home as I have been embracing the scruff while out in the motorhome. But the above soap Seaforth got like 4 solid uses and that stuff is a great soap. The scent is also nice. The last two days I have been using a new tub of Razorock SMDF this is my second jar as I killed one a couple years back. Happy to have it back in the den and the shaves have been great.

So not much really to report on the shave front so here's some pics from our trip 2 weeks ago to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho, a cool place, and definitely worth a trip if you have the opportunity. Between floating the river, hanging around camp, going to the Olympic size pool, and playing in the hot pool; this will be a trip we definitely do again.

Then we spent this last Thursday thru Monday up in the high Uintas at over 8000 feet at a place called Currant Creek. It was absolutely beautiful and cool. We ended up having to take the motorhome off road on a 16 mile washboarded dirt road where we only went 10 miles per hour but it was so worth it. Deer in our campground, a beautiful hike, fishing on the lake, and best of all no cell service. The phone stayed off and we just enjoyed the outdoors, and every afternoon the rain rolled in, and it was nap time. Great trip! So great in fact that on the last day I was walking the dog down to the lake so she could do her business and the kids came with, and they both said, "This was the best trip EVER!" Mind you I have taken them to Disney Land TWICE! But alas they have spoken. Family memories are definitely worth it even if it took $140 in gas to fill her up!

And yet now on Friday we get to head out just Megan and I. We have had two cruises cancelled due Covid, so this time it is Napa Valley for wine tours and San Francisco. No kids. Going to be nice.

Hope all of your summer is going as well as mine. Have a good day Cadre.

Well the shaves are going well, nothing crazy to report there.

It is football season and I am crazy busy. I love this time of year but it seems to have really snuck up on us. All the scrimmage games last week were cancelled due to the poor air quality from California. You step outside and it smells like a campfire it is horrible. But alas game assignments are out and this week I am officiating the biggest game in the state. Many believe that these same two teams will be going for the state championship at the end of the season.

Expect the usual football posts going forward
