Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Great couple of reads, shaves, and pictures Chad!

I used the Fine American Blend too today!

Hope the family gets over the pink eye quickly and you are spared!

Thanks Craig. So far so good. I felt a little itch today. But I wonder if that's my mind playing tricks on me. But when your one year old crawls in your lap for a nap you oblige. So hopefully no infection for me.

Razor: Schick Injector
Blade: Schick (?)
Soap: Proraso Green
Brush: Stirling Boar
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Proraso Green

Well after yesterday having the Schick save the day I grabbed it for a full shave. I don't know how many uses are on this blade but it still gave an excellent shave. There has to be 10+ on it for sure. The Proraso green continues to perform. I did weigh it yesterday to see what's left. This does include the tub but I removed the lid. I have 107 grams. Not sure how much the tub weighs though. The soap started at 5.2 oz. So roughly 147 grams. So I think I will be at the Proraso for awhile with the every other day method. I am loading it like I hate it even though I love it.

BBS today and a great day to be had.

Homefront:

I think I am in the clear on the pink eye front. They should no longer be contagious but they all have itchy eyes. Hope relief comes soon. Doc warned us to watch for colds or ear infections because apparently they go hand in hand. I had no clue. Connor was coughing a bit this morning so we will keep an eye on it. But am hoping that the family can come to my work event this afternoon so fingers crossed no sicknesses. I am on a committee that puts together work family events. Today we are doing our Spring event. So in our back lawn we will have a DJ, popcorn, photobooth, cookies, cotton candy, and a petting zoo with some exotic animals. Apparently a baby zebra will be coming in. Last year the Bacon seeds I mean piglets seemed to be everyone's favorite. But I have a feeling the Zebra will be a hit.

Have a good day Cadre!

Nice shave with the 'raso and 'Jectah today Chad. That family fun event sounds like a good time for the kiddos!

That's really cool your company does that. Nice for the family to feel like the place where a parent spends a ton of time cares about them too.

Bacon seeds are pretty fun. I have had a few that grew into full blown bacon blossoms, lots of fun.

My guess is that your Proraso container weighs about 30 grams total so the tub itself should weigh just better than half that (16-18 grams). Weigh just the lid, if it comes in around 11-15 then i am correct. Unlike some other tubs, Proraso tubs are pretty light weight.

Connor always enjoys when he can come into work.

Wow! Catching up on the eyeball saga! Great concentration to have the sanitizer and not unconsciously rubbing an eye.
I saw this on you tube and immediately thought of you.

This is where rules are different in NFL and NCAA. On the very first play, "blocking out of bounds" That's a personal foul and there was no other personal foul during announcements to offset that one. So that should have been enforced. Although it being the NFL it might be able to be offset. I would need to read the NFL rule book on that to know for sure. But At least in NCAA and High School you NEVER offset Personal foul calls.

So for example if you have a personal foul on the offense, and on the defense. Both are 15 yards. So you think that it will be offset right? WRONG. Technically you need to walk them both off to show to the fans that they are in fact being enforced. Now a lot of crews won't do this as it saves time, and it looks silly to have an official march 15 yards north, then turn around and march 15 yards south. Guess what back where you started. In the state of Utah we had a parent try and sue UHSAA (Utah High School Athletic Association) because she believed a penalty wasn't enforced when two unsportsmanlike penalties were called on opposing teams. So now at least at the high school level we are required to have our Umpire walk off the penalties even if he ends up at the same place. Media and announcers always like to use the term 'offsetting' when that really isn't the correct term.

Nice shave today. I am also a fan of the Proraso green, however I have been using Proraso red in the tube lately. It performs similarly to the green, but I like the scent much more.

Nice shave Chad!

Hope Megan, Connor, and Sadie are all better and able to attend your work event!

I thought of you for some reason when this popped up on my YouTube feed.

I wasn't keen on the red. I like the Green and Blue best.

Well if a shave happens it will be later today. I was handed a list today of honey dos.

1. Go to Best buy exchange wife's Fitbit
2. Mow lawns
3. Pull down old Connor toys
4. Replace lightbulbs in garage
5. Open trailer and put in camping supplies
6. Plant carrots and onions
7. Install outside firepit

No where on this list does it say drink beer... I hope I survive today.

Razor: Timeless .68 gap
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow (1)
Soap: Proraso Green
Brush: Stirling Finest Fan
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Proraso Green

Well today was an awesome shave. After skipping yesterday, I called up the Timeless to deliver, and boy did it. I really like the feel of cutting two days growth, but not enough to go to every other day shaving consistently. I much prefer the ritual each day. So I got an excellent BBS and am ready to tackle the day.

Homefront:

Well the honey do list was tackled yesterday and everything was completed except the firepit. So I might try and work on that a bit today, we shall see. The eye infections are all practically gone, but poor Sadie's spread to the ear... so she had went to the doctor last night, and it was confirmed, poor thing fought 100+ fever all day. We have her started on antibiotics but are trying to confirm that there are no allergies to it. Because last time she would throw up literally throw it up within 15 min. So far no throw up, but not in the clear yet.

So somewhere TJ was mentioning blaming others for mail calls. I think we are all guilty of it. But here's the real nice thing. Since starting TSC, I can now say, "checking in on the business" it has delayed the eye rolls for now... I wonder how long that will last. Little does she know, that right now it is all about breaking even for us 3 partners no profit, everything is going back into the website, and she does know that, but it is nice to see her supporting what we are doing.

So just some funny pics for the Cadre this blessed Sunday. I am sitting here and all the animals decided to come help.

And this puppy that is 8 months old sure is weird. This was last night while watching the Jazz game!

Have a great Sunday Cadre.

Love the honey-do lists...even if they do get in the way of a good shave every so often. It's an easy way to stay within the good graces of LOTH. Nice shave today!
