CBLindsay's brain droppings

The Weck SE Med Prep OC is my absolute favorite razor, and the Vector is securely in my top 5, possibly top 3 of all razors. I'd recommend getting both!

Excellent Father’s Day pickup with the smoker! Sounds like you have culinary adventure ahead!

man, i need to get my smoker going. it's been way to long. maybe i will toss a pork tenderloin in there on sunday.

Glad to hear from you Chris. I hope the not so good things sort out soon.
The sextobalde size is a little bigger
Going for some 70s era something or other hm? :ROFLMAO:
Oh man! You are going to love it! I smoke something pretty much every weekend.

Barbecuing and using the smoker is one area where my Man Card boxes have gone pretty much un-checked. My dad and FIL are big on it. I just never had the desire, especially in a hot summer day, to stand outside and tend to food/fire.

The smoker was delivered this afternoon. The box was damaged and managed to bend the hopper lid (through two layers of cardboard and foam...must have been a forklift or handtruck). The damage is irritating and does impact proper function but should not keep me from using it until I get a replacement lid from the company.

My wife and I just spent the last hour or so putting it all together and it’s ready to go. I’ll probably smoke a tri tip tomorrow then figure out how to do some fish and veggies. Mrs CBLindsay says we have to cut back on the beef. I’m baffled by her reasoning but will oblige for now. Guess pork jerky it is.

Which one of you meat cookin’ dudes with a smoker is going to give this a shot?

I had to look up 4:20 Soap. I dont even know what pot smells like.🤔
You've probably smelled it and not connected the dots. Living in So Cal I am smelling it on the air a lot more. The area I live in is pretty open and the wind is typically quite strong but there have been occasions I could smell it on the wind while I am in my backyard. The scent of it on the wind is less gnarly, not pleasing but not gagging either. Smelling it in a more confined space reveals its genetic link to Skunk spray. A neighboring "city" has gone green(pot) in an attempt to stave off bankruptcy. They converted a huge comercial zone into a "green Zone" where people can run growing operations. This little city used to be home to many obscure manufacturing business that made everything from boats to mining equipment, all of which has been displaced by growing operations. The smell in the green zone is quite unique, the growing plants have a distinctive odor (in the same way a tomato plant has a distinct smell) and that smell is heavy in the green zone. Sadly, even with the implementation of a $5/sqft tax the city has failed to return to positive cash flow. They failed in many ways (including a number of city officials getting wrapped up in FBI stings etc) but the biggest failure was to provide electricity to the green zone. The irony is, the city sold its sole to the power companies 15-20 years ago (to avoid bankruptcy) and the power companies builts huge jet engine power plants to produce and sell electricity. The power plants are literally right next to (share a fence) the green zone...and no power can be diverted to the green zone.

The smoker arrived last night so my wife and I put it together and I ran a "burn-off" cycle to prepare it for use tonight. It is a beast. I suspect this thing will get some serious use, it seems capable of doing so many things. I've got a tri-tip on stand by and my wife is at the farmers market right now getting fresh corn and a variety of other veggies to cook up tonight.

Skunk. That's how my wife describes how the bus shelters now smell (Cannabis is now legal in Canada, but you're not supposed to smoke it in those places)
