Nice post-shave hike with the dog. It's deer season here, I think. Lots of big shot gun blasts in the woods. I kept Koda close, even though he had his winter Don't-Shoot-Me vest on.



This time of year he's impossible to see in the woods without a vest.

They were pretty far off in the distance, Chris. I'm not sure how far Koda will take off into the woods, if I let him, but they guns sounded farther than I hope he goes.

No joke, Dave. Rarely on leash, doggy daycare, couches and beds all in-bounds, hikes and runs, lakes and streams. The only downside: learning my rules. Once they get 'em, though, and learn what the expectations are around here, it's a dog's life, no doubt.

Found a buried treasure in the C Box this morning: a razor with an original Jnat edge, untouched up by yours truly. What a treat. I have 3 razor boxes, A, B, & C. The C razors are my least favorite, though there are some embarrassingly nice razors in that box. Shaving edges don't know or care about which box I put their razors in. They just shave. And this one, a C-Mon Special, was great. The razor has a bit of hone wear, so the bevel itself is pretty wide and looks like it's been micro-sandblasted. Not the shiny mirror I usually see on my razors these days, as I've touched up just about all of them on syth hones. But this one remains hazy. 2 passes and I'm all-but BBS. I'll have to see what else is lurking in that box.

I have never experienced a jnat edge nor have I tried to use any jnat's to hone. I was tempted for about 25 seconds to head down that road but quickly decided to stay on the coticule path I know well enough. ...but I hear a jnat edge can be a thing of wonder.

Maybe its the power of suggestion but that watch makes me think barista for some reason.
