Brew's Foul Concoction

I was tempted for about 25 seconds to head down that road but quickly decided to stay on the coticule path I know well enough. ...but I hear a jnat edge can be a thing of wonder.
I enjoy a good coticule edge too. I've never really been tempted to learn to hone on either. The synth hones keep them sharp enough for me.

I think the watch was designed by someone who is somehow involved with or loves coffee. I'm pretty sure it wasn't named after my dead dog, like me. lol.

The picture of the original Brew always makes me smile. That old dog loved squirming on his back in the cool grass and the warm sun.

I found a CBL sample I forgot Chris sent to try. It's the Sir Fougere, I think Tonsorial, but I can't find the label to be sure. It smells great, and I think the base smells like the T/$$ that I enjoy so much. Anyway, this one smelled great in the bowl I smooshed it into, disappeared on first lather, and then smelled great again for the second lather/pass. Odd. Performance was great, no surprise there. AS was Sir IM, followed by an oud/rose attar.

The C-Mon turned in another excellent, smooth shave that is again all-but BBS. The alum Geiger counter was silent, not even a single salt blip was registered. Really fine shave.

A very belated welcome to the journals! I did a little perusing, and you have some beautiful razors. An impressive oud collection as well.

Thank you. I was lucky early on to have some help acquiring razors from more experienced friends. I'm not sure how I stumbled on to oud, but I find it indescribably remarkable and addictive.

There are a couple of shows I enjoy on Netflix, including Person of Interest. I'm just getting toward the end of the first season and the villain, Elias, is getting ready to take over the criminal underworld that is lead, in part, by his father, who killed his mother. Elias is getting ready to off dearest dad, when he wistfully recalls his lost mother, including the scent of her wonderful perfume . . . . wait for it . . . of course, what else could it be . . . . SHALIMAR!!!!

F 'em. I"m wearing it again today, with a bit of help from AoS oud asb (. . . in my basement, where only the fish and the dog will smell me . . . . ). lol

Enjoy your Fridays, TSC friends. I'm getting a fork ready to stick in this one.

Hey, I liked watching person of interest too. Good show. The guy on that show has done a couple other shows since but I never had a chance to get into them ...maybe they aren’t all that good so I didn’t miss much but I wouldn’t know.
I found an empty shalamar bottle at the antique store the other day, almost grabbed it for you but it was a little shabby (that’s ok) and had a funky residue left in it (ugh) and the guy priced it like it had the good stuff still in it and wasn’t budging (deal breaker). It’s probably still there do I’ll go get it when he’s realized it’s an empty bottle that no body really wants.

I've seen that pic before.
I posted it a couple years ago over at that other place. I read somewhere that at the height of production Geneva Cutlery was cranking out 300 razors per day. I don't imagine the whole industry makes that many a week any longer.
