Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

Dude, I've told ya. It happens and I try to fix it and I can't. I think the forums can't distinguish one Dave from another sometimes. Now only if I can get Paladin shipping to make the same mistake.
Sounds good if we can get the same confusion from Penhaligon shipments ?

I like how you just use the scent notes of the Soap Commander. That's what I do. Charisma? Courage? Integrity? Pulchritude? Whatever. I like the cucumber scented one. I actually just had to Google the name of my favorite SC scent (it's Motivation).

You had me googling Pulchritude ?

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Graham Field Med Prep (3)

Brush: Razorock 400 Noir

Soap: West Coast Shaving Campfire

Aftershave 1: Nivea 2 in 1 Aftershave

Aftershave 2: Pinaud Whiskey Woods

This is a soap I got thru BST here from KJ as I love camping and especially a campfire and this one literally hits you in the face with a campfire smell. No sweet smores or hotdogs cooked on a fire but a clear campfire smell. I like it. Will I reach for it regularly? No, but it will definitely be used when the mood strikes me. Lather while not elite, was very good.

Now this was to be shave 3 with the Graham Field blade. I finished the left side of my cheeks and thought, " No, I'm done with this experiment". It clearly was not going to smooth out. I couldn't figure out how a certain someone could do 65 shaves with one, unless I had finally met someone who was more stubborn then me. I will be letting the wife know I'm not the most stubborn person around. Science can go on without me. It was binned and back to a GSB on shave #3. I thought I literally heard my skin cheer as the GSB landed to finish the shave.

Topped off with the Nivea 2 in 1 Aftershave, followed by Clubman Reserve Whiskey Woods. Have a short workday today in a couple hours so relaxing with Coffee, news and forums. Have a resplendent day Cadre !!

Nice shave Dave! I saw the WCS campfire the other day and was wondering what kind of scent they were going for. I thought it would either smell like a campfire theme, s’mores and a woodsy feel. Or it would smell like you just literally set a bunch of logs on fire in your bathroom lol. Guess it was the latter! Enjoy the short day!

Well you did more than me. So I get to tell my wife there are two people more stubborn than me!

It's about time you got some sense knocked into ya!

And how is it possible to get 65 shaves off one blade???

How did I not know about that soap???? Now I'm torn between needing to try it and not needing two soaps that smell like fire smoke.

Good shave! Glad you binned that blade, I cringed when I saw it listed in your kit.

22 degrees?! Man that’s horrible.

Thanks I needed that.......called an audible and pushed to get most of tomorrow's work done since it's dry and up to 30's now. Get some stuff done for my parents while in this town. Couple later floor jobs and home by 9 but take the day off tomorrow when it'll be raining.....
