Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

Wednesday November 28, 2018

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Graham Field Med Prep (2)

Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft

Soap: LNHC Doc Holiday

Aftershave 1: SC Melon and Citrus w/menthol Balm

Aftershave 2: Florida Water

Took another turn with the Graham Field blade. Rough and tuggy still but got a reasonably close shave without the red stuff. I have intentions of pushing to see how long I can put up with it's shaves and if it gets better at some point but have my doubts. Honestly with my Attention D.D. I don't see it lasting long.............we'll see though

I chose a soap I haven't used in a little while for no other reason then I have been on an acquisition binge for awhile and have too many to try. Revisiting it I am so pleased with this soap base and scent (I have 3 of hers) Some got a funk at first when they were released but I believe they were still curing. I get nothing but the enjoyable scent in mine and yes they are better then before no doubt from sitting a short while. VERY happy to have these 3 choices in the den. Post shave is astounding and was needed after this shave for sure. I luxuriated in a face lather with the suds that were left and it left such a good feeling even as I type this entry. I'm not big on balms but LOVE the scent from this SC Balm from Aarons Pif (Thanks again Aaron) I just wish the scent was still available in a soap as I would buy for sure. Ended with some Florida Water and I'm all set for stuff around the house today. Have a splendid day Cadre !!

Good video Dave.. You handled that blade like a champ.

Do you want to make an over under on how many shaves you can get out of it?

Nice shave today. I need to pull out my LNHC again.

As to the Graham Field I just couldn't handle the tuggy feeling. Into the garbage it went!

And you're using this blade why?

You clearly aren't committed enough to your experiment.......................or is it that I need to be committed.............?

^^^^Dave's (Mister Mad Skillz) is still trying to figure out how to use the quote posts system ^^^^
Dude, I've told ya. It happens and I try to fix it and I can't. I think the forums can't distinguish one Dave from another sometimes. Now only if I can get Paladin shipping to make the same mistake.
