Blade: Concord (1)

Brush: Paladin 26 mm Lemon Drop Falstaff

Soap: CBL Aquatic Oud

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber

Aftershave 2: Aqua Velva

Before discussing today's shave, let me comment about the CBL from yesterday. We know this soap has GREAT post shave feel but yesterday stood out for me since I ended the shave with Thayers and didn't get to the aftershave for an hour and this was a time when I couldn't get over how nice and soft my face felt without anything added other then the Thayers. OUTSTANDING

1st use of the CBL Brush cleaner on a used brush I got. Brush was it great shape but seemed so much better after using the cleaner. Great stuff.

Today's shave was with Aquatic Oud which I could hardly detect the scent in the small sample but after putting it into the bowl and lathering it opened up. Still light but could smell it well. A fresh aquatic for sure and smells nice even though I'm not a big aquatic scent guy. Lather seemed thinner but still great protection. The thinner lather may have been due to a new brush being tried and perhaps I should have had more product as well.

I used a new to me blade from Bill in Oneida. It was smooth and did well considering it was roughly only 12 hours since my last shave. Smooth but not as sharp as I'm used to. I'll give it a few more tries to put it through it's paces and may send one to Chad if he wants to get his thoughts on it.......paging Chad.............should I send it ??

I will try any blade LOL! All these blades people are sending me I will be doing this series for a YEAR! LOL

I agree the CBL brush cleaner is very nice indeed!

I'll get it off with any I have that aren't duplicates to what's been sent. At least you can put this after a bad one as it isn't bad but just was unknown to me.
 
LOL you guys caught me.

I have offered to pay for every blade sent to me. I am truly punishing myself.
 
I hear ya guys and agree, just 2 days a week but getting old and trying to reschedule some things to bump it to 3 or so if possible........big help right.

Razor: Schick Injector

Blade: Schick Super Chromium (1)

Brush: B&B Limited Edition Boar

Soap: CBL The Shaving Cadre

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber

Aftershave 2: Pinaud Citrus Musk

Ok so 1st off I haven't used 1 of the 2 boars in the den in a long time so time to use this one and get the hairs splitting like my no label Burma shave bought @1980. It whipped some of the best lather I've had with CBL so was a good call and needed the extra lather..............why you ask ? Well on to the razor, yes a marketed NOS Lady Gillette which is identical to the Black one marketed to men. I'm fine with that and not threatened at all so let the peanut gallery have fun. What's funny to me is it looked like a blade was in it and had both cheeks done when I was like this isn't doing anything for hair removal and a check shows yeah the Greek writing must explain that and I injected a new blade. Glad to have an injector but not overly impressed with it's efficiency. Probably will only see occasional use. Topped things off with some Citrus Musk.

Had the day off due to more rain which has been crazy so going to help an elderly member of our congregation to hopefully solve a plumbing issue. Have a great day Cadre !!!
 
For as "Progressive" and "Help Thy Neighbor" as NYC claims to be it would be a cold day in hell you would find many of them giving up thier free time and day to help a neighbor.

Your selfless act should be exemplified.

\nThanks Sharps. I don\'t mind helping when I can. Frustration is when it was something that they could have done but it\'s easier to ask Dave. Simple fix. Daughter that lives next door texts and says the kitchen sink to s only trickling water but the sprayer is fine. I said unscrew the faucet cap and clean the filter. Said she couldn\'t get it loose. I said put a rag over it and use some channel locks. Said she tried before heading to work this morning and was too tight. Drove over and used wrench but felt like it would have come off after a tap or two. Annoying at times but the women works and looks after her 80 plus year old mom and mentally handicap adult sister. She deserves a break now and then. Rant off and problem solved in 2 minutes...... Southern Hospitality
