Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

Sicily is one T+S I havenā€™t tried yet. I hear you on the chase thing, which is why I stick with T+S. The differences between the elites are more a matter of preference than about actual performance. Itā€™s just the one I find I prefer. And itā€™s actually easier for me to get than the US artisans. Canada post is just way more reasonable shipped here.

Good to read about your experience.

Nice trio of shaves! High class stuff!

So...did the boss man let you off the chain gang in time for lunch?

Was it a super cool one with speakers and remote control? Or bamboo fan blades so you feel like you're in Hawaii?

Razor: Vintage Punktal
Blade: Wizamet (3)
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Proraso Red
Fragrance: CK Euphoria Amber Gold

Had a new to me razor sitting for awhile and took it for a spin today. Punktal razor is light so not sure of the material. Some I've read are brass. Not this which is Zamak or Aluminum or ?? I don't know. It has the blade bent well and gives a smooth shave. You can hear it cutting when the angle is correct but don't feel the blade. I assume it is a negative blade reveal. I got a nice close shave after a great deal of chasing. I don't expect the stubble to stay at bay long but hope to be surprised. A nice shave with it and the Schafmilch.

Next was the Proraso Red pif'd to me by Tim @MilkCrate (still one of my favorite stories on how the screen name was picked) I struggled to get the scent and chose a soap that had none hoping to not interfere with it. I will need more use as I love the green for a standard AS and am contemplating a purchase of the red. I will pour it rather than use the atomizer next time to see if it makes a difference. Still after absorbing it feels good just like the green.

That's all folks, Have a great day Cadre !!
