Razor: Timeless .68 Open Comb Base and Scalloped Cap

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)

Brush: Sorrentino Custom with a 24mm Silvertip

Soap: CBL Ghost Dragons Blood

Aftershave 1: Thayers Lavender

Aftershave 2: Pinaud Clubman

1st pic is a post bloom of the brush and 2nd pic is todays SOTD

Had a nice shave today with no drama and a smooth soft feel as a result.

Soap: 1st off I'll say this scent is AWESOME and the cooling effect sneaking up after I finished lathering the 1st pass grew with each pass after it. I will say I wouldn't call this a soap. More a croap bordering on a cream in consistency. I prefer soaps but it was worth the extra attention not to overload the brush and whipped up a great lather. I may use a bowl to get the lather going in the future. My 1st Dragons Blood scent and I LOVE it !!

Brush: 1st use of the 2 recent Sorrentino additions. This thing is more BEAUTIFUL in person. The knot(24mm) is a little small compared to my Paladin 26mm's but to be expected obviously. It was shedding upon taking out of package and after blooming and during 1st shave. No idea of a count on how many it shed. This I know can be normal with a new knot but I never lost 1 on either of the Paladins so it caught me by surprise. That's not a knock on Eric as he gets this knot from Envy shave and hopefully it will shed it
's shedding habit. ? I think I prefer a 26mm but this little guy did a fabulous job on the face and will be nice to have a smaller badger for variety !! I'm VERY happy with this addition to the den and looking forward to trying the other brush tomorrow.

Topped things of with some Thayers Lavender and Pinaud Clubman and I'm ready for the day. Enjoy the end of your weekend Cadre !!

Awesome new additions. I hope the brush shedding stops as well!

If you had to describe what Dragons Blood is, what would you say?

Have a great Sunday Dave!

Some natural hair brushes will shed. If it keeps doing it after a few weeks...then there might be an issue. But as of now...it seems normal.

I just got the Ghost Dragon Blood myself and really love the scent. Can't wait to use it.

Yeah, I'm not worried and love the brush. Chris the scent I would have no idea what to say it smells like but would be happy to send a sample for you. It is just really different from anything I've had before.
Found this online and is exactly what I get. Why can't I now what it is before reading a description.
A year-round favorite, Dragon's Blood is a potent and earthy fragrance infused with cedarwood, orange, and patchouli essential oils. The scent combines sweet andspicy notes to form a sophisticated complex blend.

Dragon’s Blood is one of those scents that is blended well. Individual notes don’t necessarily peek out. It’s very hard to describe, but it’s just amazing. It’s warm and earthy. Ambery and incense. If that sounds good, you’ll love it.

Exactly, It's a new favorite of mine now!!

Does sound good! No sample needed though. I’ll make my way there I’m sure as the soap journey progresses. ?

If you’re curious, go to Walmart and find the incense, near the candles. Smell the dragons blood incense. It’s not exactly the same. But it’ll give you an idea of the wheelhouse. Chris’s is less incency and crisp, and more warm and smooth.

Razor: Timeless .68 Open Comb Base and Scalloped Cap

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)

Brush: Eric Sorrentino Custom w/Quarter Moon Synthetic

Soap: Stirling Black Cherry

Aftershave 1: Humphey's Alcoholado Maravilla

Aftershave 2: Aqua Velva

Have a bunch of samples and still some new soaps to try but decided to pull and oldie but goodie out to use. It reminds me I have a ton of great soaps that I need to use and should curb new purchases to things I "think" I just can't live without..............okay we all know that will be tuff but I should attempt to be more selective and slow the inflow.

Timeless is a great everyday driver for me in this setup and gave me a CLOSE and irritation free shave. This brush from Eric is astounding and whipped the intoxicating smell of the Black Cherry into a comfortable, protective and slick lather. Topped things of with the Alcoholado and Aqua Velva and feel ready for the day.

Have a great day Cadre !!

I love the smell of cherry...fresh and tart with sweetness to it. Thanks to you I now need to find a cherry scented soap!

Back to the 6c for a quick no muss shave this time with Plate 5. Another CBL sop to enjoy. Little bit of reaction with the soap but not enough to stop using. Another I can use to compare ingredients to narrow down the culprit. Topped a stellar shave off with Ghost Town Barber and I smell GREAT !! Have a great evening Cadre !!
