Finally got perfume samples for my wife today. I took one for the team and sampled them all on my fingers, hands, arms, etc for her. 6/8 are worthy of trying. She thought One was toooo old school (YSL Opium - yea, smells like Old Spice... I love it!) and another was kinda old school (Dior Hypnotic Poison EDP ... I liked it but at least she likes the EDT version). I’ll have some samples left over if any of you loyal readers would like them to try for their wife... PIF for the ladies. First come will get some sent their way in the next few weeks.
reapplied the crown of the brush a few days ago with JB weld marine epoxy, seems to be holding well
fantastic shave. It’s been unseasonably warm here, around 70 for the high, here in MI. This weekend will be no exception. Citrus scent was warranted. NO is a fantastic soap base. A tick better than B&M IMO.... but B&M is a favorite of mine, so definitely not doggin’ it. The Turkish kolonya is some good stuff. Doesn’t last long but is just clean and refreshing. Off to run some errands and put the cover on our travel trailer while the weather is warm and dry. Have a great day Cadre

fantastic shave and scents from the soap and aftershave. Basically same scent. If any of you know Tsar by van cleef and arpels, the Mr.Taylor AS smells about 80% identical. That’s great since Tsar was discontinued last year and I don’t like it enough to drop several hundred $ on it now. With that said, the Mr.Taylor is definitely on my radar.

thought I was going to take a week off here but I really enjoy the socializing with you guys who read my thoughts - go figure! Only took me 35 years to start to be comfortable with the idea of friends
anyway, fantastic shave. I will say this: the chubby 3 is a complete, gluttonous, lather hog. That’s nothing new. But its awesome. Period. If you don’t have one yet, wait for Simpsons Black Friday sale. I got mine last year for $118, out the door. As I recall, the chubby 2 and a few others in best badger were on sale as well..... (lathering my hands together like a diabolical mad man)....you know where I will be looking on that day!

I get what you’re saying. For me, I get no excitement over vintage razors. All the talk about big fellows, techs, red tips, E injectors, Slims etc... means absolutely nothing to me. Had a old open comb Gillette and it tore my face to shreds. My super speed is “meh.” So I totally get your point.... well if I can score a really good deal on a chubby 2, then it’s going to be near impossible for me to pass up....”the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak (for Simpson brushes)”

not much else going on. Sold a razor on the ‘bay that I forgot I even had listed! That was a very pleasant surprise. Moved 3 razors in about 10 days and more than made up for the cost of the Ti Henson. Have a great day Cadre.
