I enjoyed the Adirondack Jack so much I had to use it again today. Might just need to get a full-sized container. Again, it is an awesome smell, and a great performing soap.

Decided to use the GC68 for this shave. I got a really good shave, close and as comfortable as I can get with this horrific sunburn.

Skipped the Preshave today. Probably would have been a good thing, but I wanted to get the shave done as quick and simply as I could. Hopefully come Tuesday the burn will be a bit subsided.

A bit harder to her that DFS today, I don't think the blade is as sharp as it was at the beginning.

The soap is also quite mediocre, so I used Ethos lather booster for the final pass. Perfect addition to finish the shave happily. [emoji846]

In the end, I pulled it off. Still, I think I need to try something a slight bit more efficient than the 90A. Hopefully the Henson is the ticket. Anxiously awaiting my chance to find out.

I was going to jokingly suggest you trying to shave with a laser to get the efficiency you might be looking for, but that's an actual thing and apparently kinda permanent? I dunno, don't care enough to research it. But yeah, don't do that or your stash will have been a waste. :ROFLMAO:

Lol, nah, I'm not there yet. [emoji1]

I got my full tub of MW Adirondack Jack. So, I had to shave with it again.

A bit scary at first, the shave started quite aggressive feeling. Come the third pass, I went to the First Lather again and was able to do a nice "comprehensive" ATG shave with less worry.

Damn near BBS after pass three. Didn't even do any cleanup, just walked away happy with what I got.

Three shaves in around a weeks time with Adirondack Jack. I really dig that scent. [emoji106]

Sounds like a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ Shave to me!

Probably is, but I'm leaving that little bit of room. It wasn't without care or effort.
When I carelessly swish the razor across my face and get a BBS without irritation or trouble, then we have [emoji294][emoji294][emoji294][emoji294][emoji294]. Likely unobtainable, but it at least leaves a goal to strive for? I dunno... I'm probably being silly. [emoji2369]

True to my word, it has been 8 hours of hard work on a retaining wall and fence. Almost done now! Whew!

I got a Henson's razor in last night, as well as my TSC Graydog brush, so today they both got a trial run. I also chose the Fine soap after discussing it with Badgerfiend the other day. What a great smell, and very competent soap in slickness and protection.

I'm going to keep this to the facts I feel can be discussed with only one shave. It felt less like the aluminum MJ90A or the RR Alum Lupo, and more like the shave feel of the Gillette (India) Guard razor. I did 3 passes and some clean up. Throughout, the shave was VERY smooth. It's hard to gauge, but potentially as smooth as the MJ90A/DE89 (but again, a different feel to it). I got a close DFS+.

I'm not going to go into how I liked it, comparisons, etc yet. Too soon, too new, and honestly today's likely the closest shave I'll likely since it's a new blade. I'll discuss it more after shave 3, 4 or even 5.

First I've heard of Henson. Curious to hear your thoughts on it. Enjoy your shaves!
I heard about it from another forum, and @churchilllafemme first posted a buying of it here. I believe he is selling / sold his, but probably has more uses than I and could relay some good feedback?

I will definitely be posting my thoughts as I continue to put it through its paces. Thanks. [emoji846]

I just used mine once before selling it. It was a very mild shaver, and with a top-quality vintage blade I got a smooth and quite close shave. But for me it was just a bit too light, making me feel like I had to work harder to compensate for the lack of heft.
