B&M Reserve Cool is in stock on the B&M site 😉 they're both inspired by Floid Blue

Eek! I bought a sample of reserve cool some time ago. It was sooooo potent and cologne-esque I thought I would get sick from the scent. It still get nauseous thinking about it.

I wouldn't have guessed that it was a similar scent. Guess scent strength plays a big role. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the thought though. 🙂

Dang! That sucks. I was hoping I could make another fan, but fate beat me. I've been hearing great things about Frank's additive, so that should really help the RR.

Ooh yeah, it definitely helps the weaker soaps. Have a stick of unscented and have used it 2 or 3 times. Just awesome for this very purpose.. love the scent, but not enjoying the performance. 👍

Good shave science shave today! Thankfully the RR line is pretty cheap...fortunate (and crazy to think) that CBL tonsorial is only a few bucks more and yet light years ahead in shave!

Tonsorial is an awesome shave, and a best bang for your buck deal indeed! Wish Chris made this scent as Razorock has it... I'd be all over that one.

Speaking of what Chris made (or is making...?), he posted recently some new goodies are coming soon. I'm very excited to see what those are. [emoji106]

PRE: Face wash with Stirling Menth Bar
SOAP: Mystic Waters Adirondack Jack
RZR: Henson AL13
BLD: Personna Comfort (#5)
POST: Stirling Glacial Unscented Balm

Couldn't decide on a soap that really grabbed my attention this afternoon, so I went with Mystic Waters Adirondack Jack. I really dig this scent and the MW performance is wonderful. This could very well be my desert island soap. Luckily, I don't need to go there yet.

Now that I've left and come back to the Henson handle, I have to say it's growing on me. The awkwardness is pretty much gone. The face feel is becoming more normal, and not really thought about, too. Finally, the shaves have returned to great. This one was almost BBS with so little feel (thanks to the awesome soap) that irritation was non-existent. Further, I truly felt I could have skipped the AS and have been fine. Since I use stirling balm, which is moisturizing and conditioning, I went ahead and applied it anyway. [emoji106]

Wonderful shave for an awesome start to my weekend. Have a great day Cadre!

Kept on with the blade, using a different soap. Didn't feel quite as comfortable (HendrixCo can't hold a candle to MW) and the shave didn't turn out quite as good (blade loosing it's edge?). Still a respectable shave, DFS+, and no drama. No complaints here. [emoji106]

Have a great evening Cadre!

Grabbed a new blade for this shave. Since I hadn't used SC Vision in a while I figured it was time. A quick face scrub and I was off. Not much to report. A smooth shave was had, with DFS results. The aquatic mint scent was perfect after last night's torrential downpour.

Speaking of the rainstorm, I found out just a little bit ago that my rear window was down for the whole 10 hour or so rainstorm. FUN! Guess it'll just be a while before anyone can sit back there. Wait, maybe it's the perfect time to pickup the mother in law. Muahaha!

Have a great evening Cadre!

Dang...sorry about the rain! That suck! Hopefully the damage isn’t permanent.

How’s the irritation during/after the shave? Any better lately?

It comes and goes, but mostly it's better. Just trying to figure out the trigger for the more sensitive shaves.

Someday... Maybe.

While the soap isn't the best performer, it is an awesome smell I absolutely love. The Henson is a good shaver, though at times the Aluminum build bothers me. Regardless, another DFS+ shave was had. No complaints, and I'm off to a happy autumn weekend.

Taking the kids apple picking after church on Sunday. It is a fun yearly tradition. Cannot wait for the hot apple cider and donuts. Mmmmm! Now that's Fall.

We have a local place like what you’re doing tomorrow too! I go for the apple treats lol, but it’s a fun way to kill half a day!

I've always wanted to have some sort of seasonal tradition like that. Cool weather, picking apples to make into a pie as a family sounds awesome.

Again I found myself choosing scent over performance with the Blue Barber soap. I took good care to really wash my face well, hydrating it for some time, then giving the lather quite a bit of time to really seep in and work on the hairs. I then went to town with the AL13 (again back to the Maggards handle because I can never make up my mind, lol). At the end, for cleanup, I loosened the head by a quarter turn and did some spot work.

The resulting shave was a nice DFS+, with only a little irritation. Nothing horrible, and the quality of shave was well worth it. I can still smell a bit of the soap an hour later, too! I'm chalking this one up as a win.

We did our Apple picking this afternoon. Surprisingly, it was insanely busy there. Still we had a blast picking apples, shopping in the store, getting ice cream, and finally stopping by the petting zoo for my little one. [emoji846]

Have a great evening Cadre!

A nice DFS+ shave. The ATG pass was sensitive, but not horrible. I feel like it's getting more and more sensitive. I can't even imagine breaking out the GC84 anymore, which at one point was used for back to back shaves. Cleanup was done with a quarter turn loosened. Works great!
