Anything that can go wrong... Will happen while I'm Shaving

Deep in the lore of Finland there was the ice shaver.

With a name like Water Blossom Aromatherapy how macho could it be?
Yep, I didn't have high expectations of a macho scent. Lol.

I expected something elite, though, looking at the bowls they make. This was more of a bang-for-your-buck soap (or as Ben called it... A get er done soap). Nonetheless, yesterday's shave was good, I can't complain. [emoji2371]

Followed the same basic shave as last time, save for a new soap. The Shave was about the same as last time, though a little more work getting there. Usually I do 3-4 shaves per blade. We'll see if this blade is up for a fourth or not.

I'm thinking Sunday I may try the Stirling Mentholated Pre-shave again. Just to know for sure.

Nonetheless, a good shave.

This time I decided to give the Stirling Mentholated Pre-shave soap another shot. I deep cleaned my face with the pre-shave (waterboarded over there bathtub). I then went on when the same basic shave. The soap is a stable performer, and what a great smell. At the end I buffed and worked out some more difficult spots. In the end I was awarded with a DFS and a happy face feel. Definitely better feeling than last time when the CeraVe, and closer too.

Paul, I might have missed whether you switched to shaving post-shower or not. I know you mulled it over in your first post. It's worth giving it a go, as the time spent showering will help soften the whiskers.

I did but it doesn't look like I marked that shave or two too well... But I went back to no connection.

What I started to do is wash my face, thoroughly, in the tub faucet (like you're just trying to wash your hair). It works just about as well as the shower, but saves me some time (3 minutes vs 10). I don't know, I feel like it does anyway. Today I used the Stirling soap, Awesome Pre-shave!

Another good shave of the same. Kept the blade going. I think it's loosing some efficiency and might be time to change. We'll see.

Well, I think switching to the Edwin Jagger was a good idea. I've now had quite a few good shaves. Can't wait to get the MJ-90A razor to see how that compares. Still the Gamechanger stares at me saying, "C'mon, you know you want to...". Lol.

It's when you actually answer back that you know you have issues! [emoji2957]
Ooh, we're long past that Don! I'm now at the stage of heated arguments and filed court injunctions vs various inanimate objects. [emoji2957]

A fairly good shave, albeit not as smooth as the Edwin Jagger. It could very well be the blade. Last shave with this blade, for sure. Still, a DFS was had. Was tired after working outside this evening. Pouring concrete for fence posts. Probably would have been more enjoyable if I hadn't come to the shave so exhausted. Ooh well. Saturdays another day. A good shave, but not smooth. A few nicks were had. In the end I was BBS, but I felt this one. :(

Can't wait for the MJ90a. Hopefully it'll be that good in-between I am looking for.

The soap is such a good smell: A sweet, sugary, cologne type scent. Unfortunately I wouldn't call it super slick. This one will be another good candidate for the Ethos First Shave, when it arrives.

Have a good weekend Cadre.

Sorry the .84 doesn’t seem to be doin your shaves justice. [emoji23]
I've had many of shaves with it that were great. Albeit, I think I cannot do too many in a row. This one was odd. Haven't used it in a while yet it still was uncomfortable. I was out in the sun again today. Probably something to do with it. Or, my skin is getting more sensitive. [emoji2371]

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ½ (3.5/5)

A good smooth shave, possibly better than the DE89. I know that one shave can't give an accurate picture of how a razor performs. Thus, we'll just say that while promising, the jury is still out.

If I had to use one word to depict this first outing with the MJ-90A, it would be SMOOTH. Hands down. [emoji106]

Can't wait for the next couple shaves to really put it through it's paces.
