Going to the Apple store later today to find out what's wrong with my laptop. I don't expect to enjoy what they tell me.
So I go to the Apple store to meet with the Technical Geniuses (different than the other Geniuses). Booted it up, two TGs confer for a bit, then tell me that it can be fixed for $478. Since a replacement would cost 3-4 times that much, I consented. Should have it Tuesday.

They said it was the (((muffled something-something)))). They told me the cost, I bit my tongue, and pulled out a card. Personally, I think if they take the points out and file them down a little bit, she'll spark just fine.
No soap for me! I may need to replenish splashes, but that should be it.So since you saved $1000, do you get to spend it elsewhere on what you want?
