2022-2023 Football Season

Just for those who don't know...there are some good games on TV tonight...

Penn State vs. Perdue
West Virginia vs. Pitt (Backyard Brawl...y'all)

and a few others that might be of interest for some...

Yeah...Penn State eked out a win against Perdue. To be quite honest, I didn't expect this game to be that close. For whatever reason, I thought Penn State upgraded this year. And they still may have. I know Perdue was pretty good last year and maybe they will have a similar year this year. Either way...last nights game was a good one, especially for a Thursday night.

Think my eagles got a real chance to improve this year! Jalen hurts needs to throw the ball more, we also got AJ Brown, and that big tough DT from the draft.

I don't follow NFL anymore...but when I did...You Philly fans are a rare bread. ;)

This heat wave in Utah is causing havoc... Like real bad. I worked some underclassman games yesterday kickoff was 4PM and it was a double header. The temp at kickoff was 103. which means the field was near 120+

Tonight's games for varsity is expected to a be brisk 95 at kick off at 7PM.

Stay hydrated my friend. Kick in some salt and electrolytes as well! But that view is amazing. I would give a lot to have views like that. I SOOOO want to get out if Louisiana...it isn't even funny. I love the mountains.

I worked two games yesterday, one today, and am helping little league to four games tomorrow once again since my college season is limited this year. I am OVER hydrating. Peeing all the time LOL!

As to the mountains. I do really love that aspect of Utah but sadly we do take it for granted at times. But yes it's absolutely beautiful here! Especially in the fall and spring.

Just because you are peeing all the time does not mean that you are hydrated. If you are sweating profusely you need to replenish sodium, potassium, and magnesium. And not just a little bit either. Commercial Gatorade or Powerade won't cut it. I know this is from an electrolyte product...but it is really good info. Fun fact...I talk to the author of this article online periodically.

Liquid IV started sponsoring our association. That's what I have been using. Thanks for article reading now!

I do use LMNT myself. And I will say that on those really hot and nasty days, electrolytes are life savers. I have even just used plain old salt on some days and it works just as well. It doesn't have to be fancy!

@CVargo Out of curiosity...what college conference do you ref in again?
I am small time currently. Gotta work my way up. I am certified for Jr. College, and the RMAC conference.

Although I worked a lot of scrimmages and practices in the off season for Utah State (MWC), Weber State (Big Sky), and BYU (Independent) this year during the off season. I have a lot of things I am working on to make that next step. And I am hopeful I might make it.

I knew it was a smaller conference...but it is still huge! Think of how many high school athletes actually make it to a college roster...I mean ANY college, big or small. It is very few. I imagine it is the same with refs. You are in the big time bro!
