Back at work. I spent the better part of Saturday helping my coworker "fix" his truck. Fix is in quotations because it wasn't really broken, just in pieces. It wasn't broken until we turned it over and got an error code saying the mixture was too lean. Sounded like a leak. I don't actually know what any of that means, but it was fun getting dirty. Yesterday was fairly relaxing. We went out to run a couple of errands and came back to poop outside the litter box. I was mad, but we gotta figure out why Matilda is mad too.

I shaved Saturday, hence the sudden uptick in blade usage. That shave went reasonably well. Today's was not a whole lot different except for some gnarly harshness when going atg on my neck in both directions. I'll try out a couple of more blades that are coming in tomorrow before I send it off to the next victim. I keep having to buff under my chin with these blades, which isn't the end of the world, but I'm hoping that the Pro Super, which has a little bit wider blade, thus more exposure, takes care of that "problem." I'm DFS+ and feeling good on this beautiful day. Spicebomb to finish. I fall in love with Spicebomb every time I wear it.

The picture must've flown out of my pocket when I was spinning on that pole that I don't dance on.

I'm a little saddened by @Dave in KY 's most recent journal entry, but I understand and respect the heck out of it. I think it's easy to get caught up all the fuss and fun of this hobby, but real life needs attention too. I've been a little less active myself for that reason. Dave, it's members like you, with your kindness and generosity, that make the Cadre what it is. Alright, I'm off the box. Not a lot to do today, but I'm already peeved because the off-coming medic thinks she's too good to check off the truck and I found quite a few things wrong within the first few minutes. Whatever. I'll fix it and she'll get her butt chewed. Moving on. I hope everybody has a great day. Thanks for reading, Cadre.

Agree. We're going to need a support group...

In my experience...whenever there is a checklist and things to do at the end of a shift...there are only a select few that do what they are supposed to do. It's good that you do the right thing.

I actually wasn't going to do this entry until tomorrow, but I'm still up and watching Chad's latest bad blade video. Work is fun. Only two calls, but the second one was flawless in teamwork and communication. They won't all go that way, but it's promising. We made plans to go visit some family friends in College Station this weekend and we're all looking forward to that. Unfortunately that little visit will be after I work 72 hours straight. I picked up OT with B shift and I'm expecting chaos.

Same setup, different blade. I can definitely tell that there's something there protecting my face. It's a clever blade. I didn't go the full shave because I was exhausted. Suitably shaven was the result. I gotta say consistently using the same products makes for a mindless shave although I am starting to miss the variety a bit. I had a hankering to grab for Unconditional Surrender, but I fought it off.

Zzzzz.....

I need to catch up on everything as soon as we get back from CS. I feel like I've been neglecting the Cadre. It's been a strange couple of weeks. This being a paramedic stuff is cool, but it's a weird feeling that has extended into my personal life, not in a bad way I think. Things just gotta settle down. There's also a bunch of drama at work that I can't speak on, but it's big, and the elephant in the room is now recognized by everybody in the department and city. There's progress and it's promising. Anyway, I gotta I to sleep. I hope everybody is having a great week. Thanks for reading, Cadre.

Dude...you are never neglecting the Cadre. There are things in life that are more important that posting with a bunch of old guys on a web forum about shaving. This is extracurricular. You come here when you can and when you want to. We just appreciate the time and content that you do contribute. Get some rest and come back when you can.
