Words of wisd..... Yeah right.... We all know better than that!

Worked in a mill that had several of these in the dust collection system that emptied into dumpsters. One got plugged and a guy decided it would be quicker to dig it out by hand without shutting things down! The paddles were metal instead of rubber. We never saw him again after the ambulance drove him away.
That is never a good move. I had a machine de-energized and locked out and still managed to lose a finger. People don't realize how much power an electric motor has and forget that it produces all of it's torque right from the start. Couple that with the gear reduction on the gearbox, and there is some serious power even on a low hp motor.

Plate #3 is where I live with that one. And it’s consistent and effortless enough that it’s often my travel razor.

I can use 6 but 5 is my everyday sweet spot. Keep in mind some feel the non stainless steel 6c is 1 plate more aggressive in comparison.

I skipped all weekend, so I had a pretty good growth last night for plate 4. I'm not one for aggressive razors normally, so I was almost a bit hesitant, but it turns out I had nothing to fear.
Plate 4 is pretty stinking good! Mowed right through everything to the point I could have stopped at one pass with a DFS. Second pass was still super smooth with pretty much no blade feel at all.

I'm one of those guys that sort of rides the safety bar instead of the cap like you are supposed to (I know... I try, but can't break myself of the habit), so no blade feel is really saying something. I think I'm going to give this plate a second go tonight to see how it would do as an everyday.

No photo because it's all the same gear.

Thanks again so much @NurseDave for this awesome PIF! 😜

I used to stick to R4 until I randomly decided to go all the way to 6. I haven't looked back. I'm glad you're enjoying the razor.

Tried a little different gear with the #4 plate again. Still a great shave. I did notice that I was pushing it with 5 shaves on the Nacet though. Usually 4 is about all I get. Still no sting from the AS and no real irritation to speak about, just that feeling that it was there waiting for me to slack a little.

Hey everyone. I'm still alive. Got a lot to catch up on, but things have been super hectic and my grandmother just passed this morning. I'll be getting caught up and getting @NurseDave and @Spider stuff out as soon as I can. Really sorry for the delay guys.

Anyway... Until I'm back with more time, I hope everyone is doing fine!

I'm sorry for your loss, Shawn. We'll be here when you've got some spare time.
