Words of wisd..... Yeah right.... We all know better than that!

Thanks Shawn @ShawnF ! And I agree with @Blade-meister knowing the little I do about you...you probably have put more rounds down range than I will in a lifetime also. And I'm a combat veteran who has spent about 17 years in the military!

You tips on hand grip do help and I am going back to check out my pistols. Oddly enough...I think my wife's Springfield XD9 with the extended mag fits better in my hand than my Glock 23. But I do love my Glock.

Been a while since I did an actual shaving update.
Finally got the chance to do a little honing and got one of my razors from my trade with TJ done. Great little Wester Bros "gun metal" with an extra hollow grind. Coupled it with a CBL concoction for a great shave. I got two small tubs from Chris, one was the chocolate tester and the other was one he called Love. A rose, chocolate and "money" scent. The rose was the prominent scent to me but I mixed the two together and now it really is a chocolate rose. Probably not a scent for most, but I like it.

That shave was so good I was going to do it again, but then I remembered I said that I'd give modern Williams another go over in the other thread.
I was actually a bit impressed. Photo was after a 2 pass shave. Definitely not the slickness or cushion I get from CBL, Lisa's, or MW, but passable. Lather dried on me a bit, but that may be fixed with some tweaking. I was surprised that I got what I did with no blooming or soaking, and not much more than normal loading.

Work has been work. Had some time and was playing with feeds and speeds on the lathe today to dial in some carbide inserts we had. They bought a large storage cabinet that had some tooling in it. Some of the stuff has been in there for years because the guy I'm replacing doesn't like using them.
Some of these inserts are $20 each and we have two or three boxes of each. So I custom made some holders for them and have been using them.

I think next week I'm going to be running the bulldozer to grade the roads up at the other plant. Let's see how that goes hahaha!

Tomorrow I'm taking the boss to a new MS Dr. Hoping this goes well. New Dr. to the area, but the only one that will take the insurance without having to drive 4 hours one way. So fingers (and nub) crossed.

That would be so nice if the new Doc worked out and could help bring a fresh perspective to her treatment.

Bulldozer eh?

Thanks everybody.
Dr.s appointment went well. We got there early and they took us right in. Had the initial new patient stuff all done with the nurse and waiting on the PA by the time that we were actually scheduled for.
The PA came in before the Dr. and explained the Dr. was doing that because she was training. No problem there. Dr. came in and went over her history and symptoms, did an evaluation, scheduled a new MRI to check against the old ones to see if there was any change, and discussed a couple tentative options.
We were in and out in an hour and actually left feeling good about the appointment.

We had heard mixed reviews on the Dr., but the negatives were mostly on her patient interaction. Having seen her now, I think a lot stems from her being Indian and just a different type of personality. She was very professional and polite. Quick to answer questions and concerns... Couldn't really ask for anything else.
She wasn't joking or anything like some American Dr.s are, but as far as all the ones we've been to, she ranks up pretty high in my book so far.

So fingers crossed that we are going to get somewhere finally.

Man, after getting caught up in here i need to go test out the Grip angle on my S&W 915( and get to the range for that matter because it has been WAY to long)

Nice shaves Shawn and glad to hear the visit with the new DR. went well.

I was catching up on a few journals and saw an entry in @Somnos journal where @Majorrich and @uacowboy were referring to the Micromatic as some sort of evil shredding machine. I haven't used one in quite some time, but didn't remember it being that bad. So I got one out for last nights shave. Have to say, I got a close shave with no skin loss or leakage. Not sure what you guys are talking about. 😜
