Ok so add a drop of water. A drop! Might be the iodine note from the peat smoke.

Lagavulin fans out there the 12 Year special release is close to being let loose (maybe in your area now) the 2020 if it is anywhere as good as the 2019 it will be cask strength perfection. Until then...this beauty will take a spot in the bar.

I tried it again straight yesterday and with a touch of water tonight. I like it better without water, but still my least favorite of the peated ones. With water it has a hot note for me that lingers forever on the top of my mouth.
