Got a chance to compare Ardbeg Uigeadail and Corryvreckan last night.

Started with the CV, tasted great if a bit thin but got to really like it by the end of the dram. After that the UD tasted like thick syrup.
Score first round for the CV.
Next time I'll try the UD first and see how it goes.

I have yet to try Corry. Since they are readily available I keep pushing it off.

@Bill M

3 generous dashes of black walnut bitters
1.25 oz of sweet vermouth
.25 oz of simple syrup
3 oz of Rye Whiskey

Stir over ice, drain in glass garnish with Luxardo cherry
I am actually partial to a Perfect Manhattan...though I am willing to try the black walnut bitters in it. This is something I might have to check out. Here is the recipe for a Perfect Manhattan...

2 ounces rye whiskey
1/2 ounce dry vermouth
1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Garnish: brandied cherry

It scales back the rye a tad, adds dry vermouth with the sweet, and gets rid of the syrup.
