What are you drinking tonight?

Congrats you went from Green apples to the Peat Bog You sir are a Scotch Drinker now

I keep posting about this drink but I just find it to be incredible. I won't post again about it after this however since I'm just being repetitive. I made another Vesper Martini last night and I have to say patience in allowing the glass you use to chill in the freezer sufficiently is critical to the end result. I left it there for quite a while. When it was time to pour the contents into the martini glass I could see the little ice flakes floating on the surface. I only needed one drink last night to give me a satisfying buzz. Not surprising since there are almost 4 ounces of vodka and gin in there. I'm done.

It's never repetitive, post away man! Like we never drink the same thing twice?

That martini sounds dynamite. I'm going to have to track down some Lillet.

Some sort of rye I’ve had ‘aging’ in a fancy little barrel thing. It sure is smooth and tasty...either it was smooth and tasty going in or the barrel aging did it. Or I just like it more than the cheap stuff I had before.

PLace it in the TSC Recipe book

My wife says Laphroaig smells like new car tires. She’s not wrong.
You ever see a peat bog up close? Never mind smelt one...practically medieval...they smoke it with peat from that...so maybe new car tires...but not to my beak... :D

So do have Kina Lillet? Cresta Blanca? What are you using as a substitute? Lillet Blanc? I am a 007 geek...

I'm using Lillet Blanc exclusively. And it was the new Casino Royale that got me on this one. When someone says "That's not half bad." I knew I had to try one. And damn it's delicious. My spirits of choice other than the Lillet are different from his though. I use Ketel One because it's the smoothest vodka I've ever tried. And Bombay Sapphire because it too is super smooth and mixes really well with Ketel One. I'll post in the recipe book as suggested.
