Picked up this vintage Avon jug this afternoon in a local antique store. It was empty, but I think I will decant either some witch hazel or find an aftershave to put into it. The price was certainly right for this little gem, only 108 pennies.

I could, but so far I haven’t found a Bay Rum soap scent that I really like yet. Any suggestions for a splash?

I only recommend Bootlegger’s Bay Rum - it’s equal parts Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum, Superior 70 Bay Rum, and Master Bay Rum. Best I’ve had yet, it’s cheap, and makes a ton!

I guess no mug for me. I really don’t see myself doing a Vlog anytime soon. I enjoy watching all of the experienced Cadre members, but I am way too inexperienced to start a Vlog and talk while I shave.

It’s easier than you think. Dave in KY was super hesitant at first, with the same reservations you have, and now he’s one of our most prolific VLOGers.

I may give it a go in June when school is out for summer break, HS baseball season is over, and I have more experience wet shaving so that I can Vlog and shave without needing to be rushed to the ER.

also Plant Therapy has a really nice blend I like called Wood Spice. Wood Spice Essential Oil 10 mL I made a beard balm with it. Sandalwood is hard to beat, but pricey.

I would definitely try if you’re able! I first tried it from a sample service on the bay. I can PM you the shop if you’re interested. I felt it was pretty reasonable.

It smells like a pine and berry air freshener. That's not to say it's bad, just didn't smell exactly how I'd imagined

That was my initial impression too, but as I shaved with it, I liked it more and more.

My two favs are Captain's Choice Cat O Nine Tails and PAA's Boomtown Bay Rum.
