What’s new to you?

Lol, I got tired of reading it should dry bristles down so I moved all sorts of stuff around and made space for a stand.

I don't know that it does anything for the life of the brush, especially with synths that dry fast anyway... but I really like the look of it. I have to say, I think they do dry faster this way, too. Also, I no longer feel like I'm violating some cardinal rule of shaving.

Who's been saying that?!?! Must have been on a different site of lesser informed individuals.......

I guess I'm a heathen (for more than one reason now), because the only brushes that I put in a stand, are the ones that won't stand on their own. I've never ever had a brush that was not completely dry for my shave the next day.

It's a scientific fact that capillary forces (the forces that pull water up the sides of bristles, and inbetween two nearby bristles) is stronger than the force of gravity. So your brush will dry nearly the same whether is up or down. Now you can argue that certainly if it is upside down that it has the combined forces of gravity and capillary action, so it must dry faster.... true, to a point. But if you have gotten all the excess water out of your brush by squeezing/shaking prior to setting it down, then there really is hardly any substantial mass of water for gravity to have much effect on.

You can obviously display or store your brushes however you like. Just don't do it for the sole reason of it drying faster, because that's just nonsense.

Awesome. Where were you when I initially read that??!! Lol.

Yep, it was likely (I'm now on three board, as well as reading online blogs etc.) The Evil Empire. But maybe not?

I'll still use it for the display effect, but it's nice to hear some science. I feel better about what I did for a long time. Lol.

Thanks @Spider . [emoji846]

Stopped in my local Home Goods and found this. For the price, I had to grab it. [emoji846]

Never tried art of shaving soap.

BTW, @GearNoir that's a very nice pin and an even nicer gesture. [emoji106]

Agreed, thanks!

And that is a smashing deal for an AOS product! I think their creams are pretty nice for non-artisan creams.
