Got my Schick Prolines from Japan in and razor back from Chris at BackRoadsGold.com The Quote below is from the thread where I explain it.

So I had commented in a video about the Fatboy not quite having the 1/4 turn and not wanting to force it and the squeaky noise opening and closing was bugging me. Chris said send it back when I had time and he would oil it and get it quiet as well as ensure the 1/4 turn was working. I mailed it this past Monday (5 days ago) and it arrived back today quiet and with the 1/4 turn working fine. You can't beat customer service like that. He posted it in the mail the same day he got it. I highly recommend Chris at Back Roads Gold for replates (y)

Initially I bought it because of FOMO syndrome on Amazon, but I guess I could use it to fix smaller imperfections?
That's more for major imperfections if you are using it for razors. I set the bevels and take out small to moderate imperfections on a 2K. Granted that is a Shapton pro and a bit faster at removing material than the superstones, but the 1K you have should do really well at that.
I never liked those flattening stones myself, but some people do. Make sure you lap it flat before you use it on your stones, and use it sparingly. Superstones are realatively soft and will eat away quickly if you don't pay attention.

I had a set. They are good stones, but I was doing a lot of razors and found myself lapping them all the time, so I traded them and got some Shapton pro stones. For casual honing though, they should last you a long, long time.

Good to know about the 400. It's a good thing I've been practicing with razors that don't hold any sentimental value. I'm not going to be doing any heavy duty honing until I get my technique down. Once I'm proficient, I'll upgrade gradually to maybe the Chosera line. I know Shapton stones are dense, but I don't like how thin they are. It doesn't seem like I'd be getting as much bang for my buck. I'm almost certain that I'm wrong about that, though.
