clearly you never watch much Anime lol back in HS and College i watched a lot of it and the voices were way more entertaining in Japanese, and a lot weren't even avaliable in English anyway. learned to read them in my peripheral vision.


We just finished watching seasons 1 and 2 of The Order on Netflix. Modern day magic stuff on a college campus kinda thing. Started off looking kinda like The Magicians but for us was WAY better.
 
Damn it! Just saw an article that says the next season of Amazon's show Bosch will be the last. I really like that show.. Hate to see it come to an end.. 😢
 
Discovered a little gem. HBO Asia made a series in Called Halfworld. It loosely tells a modern story of some Asian Mythology....specifically Indonesian. The show is mostly done in English (not dubbed) but has a good bit of subtitles to it also. I did a little research on the show and it turns out there are four different languages spoken in the show. Anyway...Season one has one of the better fight scenes I have seen on screen. Episodes are only about 30 minutes each so you can get through them pretty quick. I finished the first season in two days. There are currently two seasons out...and a third season was given the go. It was supposed to come out sometime thus year...but...you know. The show is not for everyone...but I thought it was something a little different.
 
I've been binge watching Parks and Rec since I figured I need to find out about this Ron Swanson whisky thing. Well, I'm towards the end of season 3 and there have only been 2- 3 mentions of it. #disappointed

It gets some more mentions as the show continues, building up the character and interactions surrounding Ron. It doesn’t get its stand out moment until season 6 though.
 
We finished the Office yesterday. Can't believe I have never watched it before now. Now into season 2 of Ozark
 
Believe it or not, I've never watched the entire Star Trek TOS from beginning to end in the order of broadcast. Mama and I are binge watching to remedy that. I'm surprised at the social commentary woven into the fabric of the story lines. I guess I never thought about it that way.

Did you know the first on-screen interracial kiss occurred on that show? Kirk & Uhura..
 
Im wondering if there was much ado about it. I was 4 when they ran the first time. I never noticed Scott was missing a finger either. There were quite a few black people in the cast and to have one in the ensemble was pretty forward in those days.
 
Watching Cursed on Netflix right now. The wife and I are most of the way through it. I think we have three episodes left. Will probably finish it up tonight.

It's based on an Illustrated Novel by Frank Miller (comic book writer and movie dude...known famously for RoboCop, Sin City, and 300) and is about (ultimately) The Lady of the Lake. This story is based on Arthurian Legend...but if you are looking for Le Morte d'Arthur...this story is going to look a little different. Sure...all the characters that you know form movies like Excalibur are there....just probably not in the way you think of them.

The wife and I are really enjoying this series. It's kind of "fresh" in this time. Maybe not altogether original...and I guess with shows like Game of Thrones and The Witcher...we will probably see more shows along the lines of "Medievil" Fantasy. Either way...it's good...check it out.
 
i watched the first episode of that yesterday. i had a feeling that was where it was heading. probably going to watch more today. enjoyed the first one. I tend to enjoy pretty much anything Arthurian in nature.
