TSC Watch List

A lot of the Chinese areas don't conform to yer good ol' UTC time, a.k.a. GMT, so to answer your question Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is 2 hours and 15 minutes ahead of Nepal.

Just in case you travel there wearing that timepiece, which i might reconsider!

Oh man! I’m all set for Ulaanbaatar!!

I am not much of a watch guy, but love mechanical and automatic watches when I do wear them.

During the early years of India becoming independent from the British Raj, the nation makers had a socialist approach to industrialization. One of the government companies created thus was called "hmt" - Hindustan Machine Tools. Hindustan being one of the names for India as it was referred to by the Mughal invaders a few centuries ago. "Hindu" being a reference to the river "Indus" also called "Sindhu" and "stan" being a Persian / Sanskrit word for place or land - thus "land of Hindus" - referring to people living east of Indus river .

Better sense prevailed over the years in the futile pursuit of the government fulfilling all the population's needs, when private industries were granted greater freedom and they overtook the overworked government companies. HMT watch division was shut down a few years ago. I have almost all the watches from those times.

HMT recently started up operations again geared to take on the modern time industry with its retro classics with higher quality. The main motive seems to be, to appear attractive with a market share, for private sector players to take over the massive manufacture and distribution and especially the brand. Here is a quick link to HMT's About page

Here is a famous model called the HMT "Pilot" in its new avatar. The quality of manufacture and materials is top notch compared to the model from yesteryears. A good retro classic mechanical hand winding watch. I wear it for the nostalgia that this brand stood for.

Those in to watches would know about this model from watch forums.

While i also love the automatics and mine need some loving care , anyone have a garmin fenix? Seems like some you might have one in the stable. Curious to hear about them
Yes. I have a 5x sapphire that came with a sport band and metal bracelet. I wear it most days to the week.

It’s got all the last gen (well, last, last gen lol) bells and whistles but I don’t play with those much.

What do you want to know?
