As expected, the TFS Spiffero ran out today, but there was enough for my standard 2-pass shave as well as a 2-pass head shave with my Schick Xtreme3(8).

First use of the CBL Hombres and, man, was it a treat! Loading was super easy, lathering was a breeze, and slickness took a back seat to nobody. I'm still trying to figure out the scent, but it's definitely manly and not uni-sex. I get leather and something woody.

Looking back at my 3017 log, I see that the last time I used CBL soaps was near the end of 2019. I can't believe that it has been almost 4 years since I pampered myself with this stuff.

No "meh" shave today! Thanks @BarberDave and, of course, @CBLSoap.com / @CBLindsay !!

Hombres Dos – is made using the newest non-tallow base, designed special for this project. A semi-firm soap hot poured into a tub for easy loading and lathering. You will absolutely LOVE the rich, creamy lather that is easy to whip up and slicker than Billy goat snot.

Another very nice shave with CBL Hombres and a British tech this morning. The result was the same meh-ishley acceptable result, but the loading and lathering was super easy. The light leatherly scent is quite pleasant as well.

Another month is in the books and August was comprised of 31 daily DE shaves, with a nine(9) head shaves thrown in using a Schick Xtreme3 cart.

Today's shave saw a continuation of the tech use and, while it is taking me a few days to get used to the smaller handle, it's a pretty nice razor that is fairly easy to use. Another head shave this morning to keep help things clean up top.

It being the first of the month, I upped my elliptical resistance to 14 (max is 20 on my Precor) and my strides/minute went down from about 106 to 94. I could definitely feel the extra effort required to chug along. The post-workout shower and shaver was very welcome and the result was as good as one could wish for (if one wishes for simple and easy shaves and isn't worried about achieving BBS).

No workout this morning as two of my sister-in-laws are coming over for breakfast. They were served 12" blueberry pancakes, breakfast sausage, coffee, and now they're enjoying more hot java while all the girls sit in the backyard and chat away.

A great start to the day (along with being clean-shaven)! I'd say "A great start to the long weekend," but we're all retired, so every weekend is a long one.
