The Wild West Show - Jim's Shaving Journal

I can't tell you guys enough how much your support means to me. I feel like I can do anything with the weight of this brotherhood behind me.

I also had my first post-op shave this morning. Normal setup with Doc Holliday and my Willow Wolf brush from Russell. Went with Grooming Dept Wonderland, and know I smell like I'm riding a freshly groomed horse through a hay pasture. Watching some Mayans MC and then a full day of Red Dead Redemption. Tomorrow NHL19 drops and will take most of my gaming attention so I want to cowboy it up as much as I can.

Looks like tropical weather is heading your way Jim. Better have SWMBO get the essentials at the store lots of rain is looking pretty certain.

Glad your inaugural post-op shave went well!

You made me go look to see if there were newer Red Deads since the one I knew of some time ago. Nope. You're playing a classic in terms of video games timelines. I do see there is a new one out at the end of next month I might need to get.

Thanks so much for the support, guys.

So, I won Bingo, we are facing some rain from Florence, and I now have NHL19 to keep me company until I return to work. My RTW date was confirmed by my doctor at my followup appointment, so I go back on 24 Sep.

I am healing well, progressing right on or slightly ahead of schedule. But the most important part is I can now eat REAL FOOD again, soft proteins 2 oz per meal. Had some Pintos n Cheese for dinner last night (SO DELICIOUS), and this morning I had a scrambled egg with some low fat Mexican cheese blend and a dash of HP brown sauce. I have never appreciated such a small amount of simple food as much as I do now. I am very encouraged that I totally have this thing.
