The Wild West Show - Jim's Shaving Journal

Great news for your boy! I hope it works well for him!

That's great news for your son. He can go far in life with a solid job opportunity such as he has now. Just wait until he sees the $$$ that comes from the hard work he does everyday, he will be unstoppable.

Congrats to your son, that's a fantastic opportunity!

Thanks guys!

Last night I had a great evening shave using the CBL Black Rose Oud that I received as my Bingo Prize. I love rose scents, and this one is AMAZING. It is a luscious rose with the woodiness kind of floating in and out. And I have definitely put this one in the Tier 1 Elite box, as yet again I was able to skip aftershave just by rubbing the lather in after the shave. CBL has really impressed me with the products he has put out. Great stuff!

On the home front, I have been playing a lot of NHL19 in my free time, but the game I am waiting for is one month away: Red Dead Redemption 2. Once that sucker drops, I will be spending a lot of time riding the range. Here is a screenshot, and I don't think I have ever seen a morse beautiful scene from a freaking video game:

Hope all of you gentlemen have a wonderful day!

I used to love playing my Xbox a million years ago. I actually really like playing video games in general. But I suck something fierce at them and just don't seem to get much better. I stopped playing because I was tired of getting my butt handed to me when that 13 year old kid from South Korea kept kicking my rear! My mistake was ever going online to play!

I hear ya, Don! The only online I do is the team play on NHL19 because it's never just me by myself, I always have at least one teammate to pick up the slack lol.

The new RDR2 is going to have such a deep single player mode that I can see getting lost in that world for a long time.

I love me some Red Dead Redemption! Sadly since the birth of the kids I have not had time to pick up a controller. My gaming has gone way DOWN!

Haven’t had a newer, more “adult” gaming system for a long time! Great graphics these days!

Ive had RDR2 on preorder since Gamestop started accepting them.

The non-adult ones are just as fun. In our house we have currently

Atari 2600
Playstation 2
Playstation 3
Playstation 4
Nintendo Wii-U
Nintendo Switch
Xbox one-s

most of the time they are the vehicles for our netflix or prime streaming and our dvd/blueray players but the games when we get to play are fun

We have the Switch for the kids, it’s fun, but it’s just not the same as cracking heads in a FPS game like COD or an epic sandbox game like Elderscroll.

I preordered both the Ultimate Edition and the Collector's Box from the Rockstar Warehouse. I have been waiting for this game since I first finished the last one.

This will actually be game 3 in the series. Red Dead Revolver was first then Red Dead Redemption.

I agree but am much more fond of the Metal Gear Solid series than COD. The COD seems to gear you to having to play online to enjoy it and we play zero online games.

Another great series! I only got to play the first ones for the PSX/PS2 though.

I don't play these electronic games. Walked into a game being played once on a project and thought they were watching an NBA game the graphics are so good. Atari pong was the last I played??

Today I am 4 days into my return to work, and all is well. I am working from my company's main office rather than at the yard, because I am still restricted from climbing ladders until 8 October, and there are ladder wells galore to get to my office on the project barge.

On the plus side, I am only 10 minutes from my barber, and I was able to book an appointment for today at noon, so that's where I will be spending my lunch break. I need it too, because my hair really gets wavy as it gets long, and when the ends flip up it looks like *TWO LITTLE DUCKS* sitting on my head. Sheesh!

Hope everyone else has a great day.

Great to hear that you fared well in the hurricane, and that you are healing up nicely.

And outstanding news about your son's new job! That's fantastic!!

I was thinking the same thing, Dave!! Word!!!

It's been a long weekend, and I am looking forward to my day of rest!

My youngest son, Andrew, recently joined the Tidewater Pipes and Drums as a snare drummer. Yesterday was his first parade. I caught a short snippet as I was running alongside. Andrew is the second from the right in the back row.

I am one proud papa right now.

Hope you all have a great day!

Very Cool! Man I dig me some pipes and drums! Always wanted to learn the pipes, but I have no musical talent whatsoever.

i too love the pipes and drums. A friend of mine plays the pipes and usually does Amazing Grace at local funerals. It is spine chillingly awesome
