Happy Tuesday everyone. A rainy overcast day here in the ATL. The Karve Overlander was released from Customs after a week delay and arrived yesterday. Given my complete lack of patience I had to give it a go this morning. I do have the Original Karve in D, E and F plates. The Overlander is a different design with much less blade feel while having the efficiency of the higher plates in the original design. At least that was the intent. I loaded the Overlander with a new Feather blade and went to work. The angle was easy to find and the razor does have minimal blade feel. The sweet spot seemed to be very generous making it easy to find and maintain. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. The Overlander seemed as efficient as my Karve D Plate. I will compare the two later on this week. Overall I am pleased with the purchase. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday. Take care.

Happy Hump Day Everyone. Whew what a day, what a day....... A very early morning shave with an early evening post. The Karve Overlander is one of those razors that I like from the first shave. Everything just clicks for me. The razor is super smooth and efficient. I don't need a lot of blade feel to shave and honestly most mornings, I don't want to think a lot about the shave. I just prefer to go on autopilot and be done with shave. The Overlander is an Autopilot razor for me. Three easy passes and some touch ups end in a near perfect drama free shave. I really can't ask for much better. The Barberry Havana struck the right notes before I plowed through the work today. I am getting closer I think. I hope everyone has had a great Wednesday.

Happy Thursday. It has certainly been a week for me. I will be at a client site all day today so a relaxing shave was the perfect start to the day. I just can't go wrong with this lineup. Everything just works well for me and delivers an automatic near perfect shave. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

It's Friday!!! Whew what a week. Happy Friday Everyone. Back with the Karve Outlander again today. No surprise that I had another automatic near perfect shave. @primotenore sent me a care package with a couple of lavender frags. I with the Lavande #44 today. The scent was unexpectedly more complex than I anticipated. It opened with a heavy does of floral but has dried down to a very well rounded scent of lavender and patchouli over a musky earthy base. I am curious what my wife will think of the scent. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.

Happy Saturday evening everyone. It has been a very busy couple of days around the homestead. Work is never ending and honestly is stressing me out. I need to take a small step back. I got up very early and already had texts from clients. Got a quick shower and shave before starting my day. Up front I have a preference for razors that I can use on auto pilot without much thought. This morning was a case in point for that preference. Without thinking or really even trying, I almost caught the baby in three passes and touch ups. My thoughts were on the day ahead and work, not the shave. Muscle memory certainly helps but razor that is not prone to bite but is still efficient makes a huge difference for me. Just my rambling thoughts after a long day and some adult beverages. I hope everyone had a great day. Take care and stay safe.
