The Heysi Missive

The problem with arguing with the mrs is that if you are wrong, you owe her chocolates and if you are right, then you owe her flowers and chocolates. i have instead taken a leaf from Basil Fawlty's playbook and run with 'yes dear, you're always right dear and i live only to serve you', at which point i'm usually called something with 4 letters, but the argument ends!

I've made a few.... hare are the two latest, I believe. Why would you do a travel shave without first referencing my videos?!?

I wasn't thinking about it before I headed out. I've watched both of your videos and immediately smacked my head when I realized that I hadn't done anything about my travel kit (I literally had just taken my shave gear out to shave when I realized I hadn't taken your advice). I'm going on a cruise in September so I'm already correcting the issue. Between you and @NurseDave I should be good to go from here on out.

In reality, most of the time I just use a Dopp bag. No issues with razors, blades, brush, soap samples, and all toiletries fitting in there.

So your Super Case is just a lie????

It’s been used on road trips. I just don’t like road trips.
The Super Case would work perfect for my trips to California. I was already looking to expand out from my regular dopp kit into the Super Case. But I can see where its not convenient for taking on the plane.

Spent my first Father's day without my child nearby. She called early in the day to say "Happy Father's Day" and to check and see if I received the card she sent (I did not). So I have to wait until tuesday at the earliest to see what card she sent me. The hard part was not getting my usual hug on Father's Day.

Today shave:

I was a bit lazy over the weekend and didn't shave friday, saturday or sunday.....so I looked rather shabby this morning. Nothing that a bit of the old usual can't handle. The pre-war british tech paired with a fine Wilkinson Sword blade does the trick every time.

Used the rather thin sliver of vintage Williams with the EverReady badger brush for some fine, thick lather. I know that this puck would have run out weeks ago if I wasn't switching soaps every day now. I need to get back to using one soap all the way through to completion so I can enjoy each soap for a month or more. Changing every day is not as satisfying for me as it is for others. As the saying goes....your mileage may vary.

Really love the Booster Aquarius aftershave. In clear defiance of the scent police at work, I continue to use this with every shave. If I get called in, at least I will smell nice.

See ya Later!

It's satisfying to complete a puck, plus it clears space in the den for another flavor, if so inclined. A win-win for consistency, I'd say. (y) (y)
